Publisher Iceberg Interactive and developer Pawley Games have announced the release of the first free DLC Bloodlines for their space strategy game Star Dynasties. Star Dynasties is a turn-based, procedurally generated narrative of human drama and personal politics, mixed with light empire management. The free DLC is now available for the game via Steam.
Bloodlines further expands the game with enriched gameplay with family-driven events, features, and bonuses. Check out the new trailer for the free DLC below:
Key features of Star Dynasties: Bloodlines include:
- Design Your Starting Family – With the new Family Designer feature, you have much more control over your initial family. Customize each character’s age and appearance, as well as your family’s size. Do you want to begin with a troop of children, or none at all? You can even start from an empty house, for an extra challenge.
- Control Who Inherits – New succession models have been added, giving players more options and control over who will rise to power within the dynasty. Wield the ability to disinherit family members and appoint new heirs wisely, to keep everyone in line. And when you’re tired of ruling, abdicate and let your heirs handle the mess.
- Family Drama – Experience new family-driven events, from childhood rivalries to squabbles over inheritance. In addition, new expedition events will provide the chance to attain historically significant bonuses to your dynasty.
Star Dynasties was released back in September 2021, and it allows you to lead your faction of star systems. Your goal is to ensure the survival and prosperity of your dynasty, by all means, necessary as you expand your empire, build political alliances and build up your power to emerge as a dominant faction of the galaxy. Bloodlines digs deeper into the dynasty bit and lets you micro-manage your dynasty.
A free demo of Star Dynasties is also available on Steam, and you can give it a shot before jumping in the full game if it sparks your curiosity. The title is currently sitting at a ‘Mostly Positive’ rating so it is a decent space turn-based strategy title that you should definitely check out.
