
Firebrand Games has announced the Nintendo Switch launch of its latest space puzzle game Solar Flux. Solar Flux is a puzzle game by Firebrand Games set in space where you control a spaceship and collect plasma pieces to save the dying stars and ultimately save the universe. The game is set in the year 2107 where the universe lies in decay. Stars are dying and the whole universe is filled with black holes which are consuming the last remaining stars as well. You step on your ship and set out on a perilous journey to save the stars from extinction.
The game features physics-based controls that are responsive to the player’s movements. Players will need to carefully navigate the orbits around planets using gravity and slingshot the ship to collect the plasma pieces and use them to save the planets. You can also use the ship’s brakes to stop in order to avoid different obstacles in the game.
On your journey, you will come across many different kinds of obstacles and hazards in your path that you will need to avoid or you will be dead. These obstacles include mines, force fields, asteroids, black holes, and scorching suns. They add to the challenge of the game and will make sure that each puzzle is unique to the game.
As you navigate through the universe, each galaxy will give you a different type of challenge. You will be required to adapt to each solar system to overcome the challenges and save the stars all while avoiding the different types of hazards and obstacles in the game. One of them being limited fuel and time as well.
You will navigate through 4 unique galaxies in the game which will have over 80 different solar systems. Each solar system in the game is unique with its own challenges and wonders. This is surely going to keep the players busy for a long time.
