The Uryks Necklace-of-Ears is a boss that may seem pretty easy to manage, but being an early boss means that you yourself wouldn’t be strong enough to take down this boss, considering the level of your character.
However, the best way to beat this boss to first learn all of its attacks, and to decide what way you need to counter this boss. The slow moving boss will always be looking to get to you, where it will also leap towards you to catch you off guard.
When you first start the battle, Uryks Necklace-of-Ears will approach you until he is at striking distance to slash with his sword. Getting too close means that you are in the perfect position for the boss to hit you for a couple of devastating hits. At medium range, Uryks Necklace-of-Ears will leap at you to close the distance and proceed with his melee hits.
When the boss’ health drops below 50%, his close range melee hits are produced in a combo of two hits, increasing the chances of hitting you, and forcing you to back off.
To counter all of the attacks, and to effectively take down this boss, you can go for ranged weapon where you can hit the boss until it gets close. Or you can go for single melee hits once you dodge behind the boss. Both methods will require you to dodge behind the boss when it is striking distance, allowing you to hit the boss from behind before he can turn around and face you again.
This repeating process is the best way to continuously deal damage to the boss in the early stages, especially considering your vulnerability in the early stages of the gameplay.
