Saber Interactive has announced Stuntman: Hollywood, a new entry in the classic stunt-racing series. The game is currently in development for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and is being made in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences. The trailer was showcased during Sony’s State of Play.
The single-player action-racing game puts players in the role of an up-and-coming stuntman performing stunts inspired by hit Universal Pictures films and NBCUniversal television series. The confirmed lineup includes Fast & Furious, Back to the Future, Knight Rider, Miami Vice, and Death Race, with players getting behind the wheel of iconic vehicles from those franchises, including K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider and the Time Machine from Back to the Future.
Gameplay is built around chaining together jumps, drifts, and near-misses while hitting precise marks as chaos unfolds around you. Players work their way up through the ranks, unlocking new vehicles, challenges, and increasingly ambitious set pieces as they progress. From the trailer, it appears like a few of the vehicles are officially licensed, such as K.I.T.T. and the Time Machine, but other vehicles like the Supra and Skyline from The Fast and the Furious and the white Testarossa from Miami Vice appear to be unlicensed models, created by the developers for this game.
Saber Interactive’s Chief Creative Officer Tim Willits described the original Stuntman as “a legend of gaming history,” saying the studio has always wanted to revisit it and “evolve it into something new.” Saber previously collaborated with Universal on other projects, and Willits called this partnership a chance to “bring back a true adrenaline rush for fans.”
Stuntman: Hollywood is available to wishlist now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Additional details about the game will be revealed at a later date.
