Our Remnant: From the Ashes Ward 17 Guide details everything that you need to do in order to access Ward 17 in the game. To start with, you will require the following items to begin your quest for opening up the portal for Ward 17.
- Ward 13 Keycard
- Founder’s Key
- Fuse
You can acquire the Ward 13 Keycard and Fuse quite early in the game however for the Founder’s Key, you will need to reach Founder’s Prison first. Once you reach the Founder’s Prison, you will meet an NPC who is locked there for quite some time in the jungle. Interact with the NPC to acquire the Founder’s Key. Now that you have the Founder’s Key, make your way to Ward 13 to find the remaining two items and get access to Ward 17.
In the basement of the Ward 13, you must find the fuse in the basement which will power up the key card reader where you have to use the Ward 13 Keycard in order to access the area where the Ward 17 entrance is located. Head to the B2 level where you will find the missing fuse for the circuit breaker. Once you do, head back to the B3 level where the circuit breaker is located with the missing fuse.
Insert the fuse in the circuit breaker and turn it on. This will power up the keycard reader allowing you to use the Ward 13 Keycard to access the Research Access area. Once the big door is open, enter and turn left. Head inside the corridor and then turn left again when you see the mirror on the right side and the computer on the left side. This is inside the second door on the left side.
Enter the room and go straight to the computer located on the left side. Insert the Founder’s Key in the keyhole and the computer will respond. Now interact with the computer and select the option ‘Initialize Mirror’. This will activate the Mirror Portal making it turn red. Now you will be able to access the Ward 17 by using the Mirror portal.
