Remnant From the Ashes: Subject 2923 Weapons Guide

Below we have detailed all the eight new weapons in the Subject 2923 DLC of Remnant from the Ashes.

Alternator

The Alternator is the first of the new weapon in the DLC, which is a Long Gun. The weapon is a fully automatic rifle that shoots cryogenic bullets, dealing frost damage to targets. The quick rate of fire and the normal magazine size makes it a decent weapon to use against enemies and bosses.

Each round from the Alternator deals 14 damage to the enemy from mid-range and has a 32 round magazine. The weapon also has a 5% Critical Chance and can be modded with the Incinerator to turn it into incendiary rounds shooting weapon.

To get the Alternator you first have to defeat Brudvaark, then Vargr who will drop the Cold Cell material required to craft this weapon. Once you have the Cold Cell, you can then craft the Alternator for yourself.

Frostborne

This is another new weapon in the game that comes special to the Subject 2923 DLC. This frozen axe is a melee weapon that is great in dealing quick and alternating attacks on enemies and bosses, dealing 50 damage with hits. Each hit with the Frostborne has a 5% Critical Chance. On the other hand, you can also charge the attack which hits the target multiple times and deals significant damage.

To get the Frostborne weapon, you have to complete the Fellmourn Burrow in Reisum. Go to this location and you will find a hidden pathway behind a bookshelf. Hit the bookshelves to reveal the path, continue in this new location and you will get the Frostborn weapon.

Chain Blade

The third weapon in the DLC is the Chain Blade, which is another melee weapon that is available in Remnant from the Ashes: Subject 2923. The weapon is quite unique as it has a razor-sharp blade attached to a handle that can allow the blade to extend by the help of a chain.

This allows the Chain Blade to attack from a distance, allowing you to clear a large radius around you. The weapon is great in clearing out a lot of smaller enemies that come attacking from all corners. Each hit with this weapon deals 47 damage and has a 5 Critical hit chance.

To get the Chain Blade you need to craft it with the Steel of Agony. This special item is dropped by Vargr and Brudvaak bosses in the DLC. Once defeat, pick up the Steel of Agony and craft the weapon.

World’s Edge

This is another melee weapon that allows you to quickly strike the target at close range for 4 damage per hit. To get the weapon, you have to defeat Harsgaard who will then drop the Root Neoplasm material. This material can then be used to craft the World’s Egde blade.

Machine Pistol

This is a simple handgun that does not deal a lot of damage but makes up for it with its quick firing ability and decent mag size. Each round deals 8 damage, while the gun has a 24 round magazine size.

To get the weapon, you need to complete one of the missions in the Ward Prime. This mission requires you to restore the power on the main floor and then enter the main office where the weapon can be found.

Twin Shot

The Twin Shot is a handgun that deals a large amount of damage per shot but has only 2 rounds in the magazine before you have to reload again. Each shot deals 60 damage to the target and can be obtained by finishing the Creeper’s Peepers mission, which requires you to insert this item in the eye of the rat statue in Reisum.

Sawed-Off

This is a handgun in the game that deals massive damage from close range with 125 damage per hit. The magazine, however, is very small with only 3 round capacity in it before you have to reload the weapon.

To get the weapon, you have to purchase it from Sebum, who can be found at The Frieran Sea dungeon in Reisum. Talk to Sebum and purchase the weapon for 450 Scrap.

Fusion Rifle

This is another Long Gun in the game that shoots off a large beam straight towards the target dealing 180 damage with a single charge. Charged shots will deal more damage but will consume more rounds and will have more recoil.

The weapon can be obtained by defeating the final boss Harsgaard, who drops the weapon when you beat them.
