Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl Great Marsh Guide
The Great Marsh is located in Pastoria City, where you will need to spend some Pokedollars to access this area, that too with limited time or movement. The Great Marsh requires you to pay 500 Pokedollars to access the area and explore it. However, you have only 500 steps that you can take for the duration of your stay in the marsh. In this limited movement, you can encounter and catch all sorts Pokémon that reside here.
Having said that, the Great Marsh changes the Pokémon that will show up for the day as they are changed every day. Before you head into the marsh after paying the fee, you can check what Pokémon are currently available for the day using the binoculars for 100 Pokedollars. This will save you money and time, giving you time to decide if you the Pokémon you want is inside the marsh or not.
If you do find a Pokémon and ready to catch it, you can use the trolley system inside the marsh and head to the locations where you know the locations thanks to the binoculars. Using bait on a Pokémon will help them stick around you more, but will be tougher for you to catch. But if you use mud, they become easier to catch but also easier to flee.
