Publisher Ravenage Games and one-man developer Alchemy Sheep have announced the release date of their upcoming pixelated rogue-like title NecroBouncer. NecroBouncer will be released on PC via Steam on December 8, 2022, and a free prologue featuring all in-game relics and the first two levels is available right now on Steam. The free prologue gives you a small taste of what you can expect in the full version of NecroBouncer when it launches next month.
Check out the Prologue Trailer for NecroBouncer below before we jump into additional details:
In NecroBouncer, your goal is to defeat incoming hordes of imps and ultimately overthrow the nightclub kingpins. Sticking true to the rogue-like formula, you will have to start again if you die however all of your abilities and inventory carries over if you die. You will have the option of creating the build that suits your gameplay style with a selection of near-infinite items and relics. You can also switch up the visual look of your character with different outfits where each outfit comes with its own unique attributes. If you want, you can also enlist the NecroCat and Bartender when you can.
One of the most unique features of NecroBouncer is the Twitch integration at launch which will allow stream audiences to spawn minions to make the game absolute hell for players while they are broadcasting the game. This works both ways around as this feature will allow viewers to help streamers or make the game tougher for them. This keeps the challenge fresh and brings a unique twist to the overall horde survival and rogue-like genre. NecroBouncer has been developed by a single developer Andraž Oražem who says:
NecroBouncer is based in part on my own life, as I live in an actual Slovenian dungeon. I’m not much of a party person, but I do know how to cook up a great game. And a mean bowl of cereal. I can’t wait for players to try it out for themselves soon! Unfortunately, my cereal will not be included.
Key features of the game include:
- A near-infinite pool of relics and their cursed counterparts
- Hardcore boss battles
- Unique rooms that demand unique strategies
- Old-school pixel graphics
- Tunes that’ll make anyone bop
While the full release of NecroBouncer is still a little far at this point, if you want to jump into the free prologue or simply add the game to your wishlist so you do not forget about the game, you can head over to the Steam page of the game right now and do so.
