Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Afflicted Monsters Guide

As mentioned above, Afflicted Monsters are part of Anomaly Quests, where you will be fighting a more powerful version of the monster in each of the different quests. In addition to being strong, the Afflicted Monster will go into a Delirious State, which then inflicts the Bloodblight status on your character.

In the Bloodblight state, your character will not only heal slowly but will also take damage over time. The best approach to take an Afflicted Monster in a Delirious state is to hit its weak spots and deal a lot of damage so that they don’t blow up in an explosion called Anomaly Burst, which deals a ton of damage when you get caught in it. Not only does it eat out a big chunk of your health, but it will also knock you far back.

An Afflicted Monster will have exposed cores highlighted in red, which are its weak spots. Hitting at this spot will deal damage as more and more cores are broken, and dealing enough damage to bring the monster back down to a Pacified state.

It is at this stage that things will become pretty manageable, allowing you to hit the monster in this vulnerable state.
