How to Defeat Wood Knight
As you progress in the main story of Kena Bridge of Spirits, you will acquire the Spirit Bow which will be your main weapon against the Wood Knight. As you progress a little further after acquiring the Spirit Bow, you will come across the Wood Knight. The Wood Knight fights with a heavy log that he has swishes around and slams on the ground as well. Dodging can be a little tricky if you prefer melee combat because the splash damage and great range of the log can make dodging a lot harder than normal.
There are no boss battle phases so the boss will mix and match his attacks throughout the boss fight. For its size, Wood Knight is pretty fast, and his attacks are pretty fast as well. Despite him being fast, you can easily see his attacks coming and can dodge while his attacks are in early phases. His main attack is slamming the ground with his log, so you need to watch out for the slam attack as dodging it is really difficult if you are too late. His slam attack hits both ways so do not jump in after his slam attack.
Apart from his slam attack, the other attack that needs to look out for is that is the boss’s ranged attack during which he will throw his log at you which comes at you and then goes back. The same can be said about this attack as well that you need to be patient. The attack can hit you both ways. Wait until the log is back with its sender before jumping in to attack. The best way to defeat Wood Knight is by using your Spirit Bow and making sure to keep a healthy distance from the boss.
The main two attacks that you need to avoid at all costs are the charges and the slams. Stick to your ranged attacks and you should be good in the fight. In-between your normal attacks, if you get a chance, try to blind the boss with your Rot Spirits however you must stick to ranged attacks even when the boss is blinded because the boss will sweep blindly that will deal massive damage to you if you get hit by it. Keep at it and you should be able to defeat the boss without must difficulty.
