How to Build Your Roster
You play as Ajna, the protagonist who is joined by three characters of your choice, or the ones you have unlocked to fight alongside you. Each of the characters in your roster comes with their own fighting style, abilities, and skills. Playing tactically with your team is the way to go in the game, and will give you the best chances of taking down the various enemies that you face.
When you progress through the story of the game, you will unlock many characters on the way. Some will join you automatically, others will require special tasks. There is no perfect roster that will take you all the way to the end. Your roster depends on the type of characters that suit your playstyle, or that the combat requires. Mix and match with various characters and plan a clear strategy beforehand.
Characters vastly differ from each other, which is why you should carefully examine their skills and abilities before you add in your roster. Having an all-out attacking team can turn against you if you do not have a supporting character to balance things out. For example, you can have Thorani in your team, who not only attacks the enemies but also heals the team by doing so.

How to Win Fights
With the inclusion of three other characters in your roster, you essentially have four characters including the protagonist fighting against the enemies. Each character comes with their own special buttons for the attacking moves you want to perform. Each individual character has three moves with different buttons. This will cost you an Action Point
In combat, every hit you deal with a character will increase the Action Points. You can then send out your characters one by one, in groups, or all at once for a massive attack on the enemy.
The characters also have neutral attack moves which include forward, upward and downward attacks. Every hit will then increase the Action bar gradually. Variation with your attacks is key in speeding up the Action Points bar. If you just go on hitting with one strong move, the action bar will recharge slowly. This is why you should mix up your attacks with each character.
Mixing up with attacks, and pairing them with other characters starts a combo streak Combo streaks are a great way to speed up the Action Points bar, and will also result in the most amount of damage you can deal. When you hit the enemy with the most damage, the numbers indicating the damage dealt will turn golden. Starting a combo, hitting the enemies in a short time, and then finishing with Ultimate Attacks will greatly increase your Action Points.
Tips and Tricks
Here are a few tips and tricks that can help you in combat:
- Having a balanced team as you progress in the story will greatly increase your endurance in combat and increase your chances of attacking the enemy for a long time
- Use the pause option to think out a strategy if the fight is getting out of your hands. You can take a look at character move buttons and skills that you can use in your next attacking move
- Use characters that can break an enemy shield by performing special abilities. Otherwise, the enemy will block all attacks and it will be futile to waste your Action Points.
- Start Combos and pair your Ultimate Attacks as a finishing move for a perfect attacking style on all types of enemies.
- Send out your team in groups rather than sending them one by one, or all at once. This way, you can heal the other characters, pair up for a nice combo attack, and defend incoming enemy attacks.
- Practice timing your defending moves perfectly will not only preserve your stamina gauge but also heal you in return. It is not wise to have all characters defend one focused attack, so you should recognize what character is in danger and defend at the right time.
