The Cogwork Core is a small area joining many other areas. Most of the places here are vertical, and this is why obtaining the map here is not a big issue as well. Cogwork Core Map Guide – Hollow Knight: Silksong

We will be starting at the top right exit of Choral Chambers, which is the closest one to the map. You can also start from the bottom-right exit of Choral Chambers that leads to Cogwork Core as well, but this is much better, so we will be starting here. We have marked the location below:

From the starting location, start heading right and enter the next room. Drop down from the first ledge and then drop down again to go down below to the next area.

You will land on another platform. Drop down, go left, jump across the chasm, and enter the door up ahead, which has the Bench sign on it.

In this room, go right, and then slam the big cog above you to raise the bench. You can save your game here. After saving your game, jump to the left side of the cog and go above the wall using Cling Grip.

Up on the platform, there are two sleeping guards with a pressure plate in the middle. Destroy both guards and then jump on the pressure plate to activate it, and a ruin will appear, which will give you the map of Cogwork Core.
