Red Art Games is teaming up with Ricpau Studio to release their new title Gunborg: Dark Matters on consoles and PC. The release date for Gunborg: Dark Matters is March 4, 2022, and it will release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch for $14.99. This is the first time that Red Art Games is releasing a game digitally on PS5. Apart from the digital release, Red Art Games will also release limited physical copies for both PS4 and PS5.
Digital Pre-orders for Gunborg: Dark Matters will go live today on Nintendo eShop and Xbox One with a 10% discount until the game’s full launch. The Steam version of Gunborg: Dark Matters will set you back $11.99. Gunborg: Dark Matters is an arcade-style action-platformer that offers smooth gameplay and a slick 80’s synthwave soundtrack.
You are armed with a fierce blade and a powerful shield as you challenge and fight through a mad alien spaceship filled with deadly creatures and capture the fearsome bosses defending it. Key features of Gunborg: Dark Matters include:
- Skill based arcade-style gameplay
- All enemy weapons can be picked up by the player
- A powerful shield to deflect enemy bullets
- Dark energy super charges your weapons
- Smooth gameplay and fluid animations
- Super fast addictive respawn cycle
The PS5 version of the title will also come with special PS5-specific features such as:
- DualSense™ features and 120 Hz support on PlayStation 5
- Game is cross-buy on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5
- Free upgrade of the PS4 game on disc to the digital PS5 version
The console port of the title is done by Red Art Studios which is a new branch of Red Art Games located in Metz, France. The physical PS4 release is limited to just 999 copies while the PS5 release will be limited to just 1,500 copies. They will each cost €24.99 and will be available exclusively through Red Art Games official website. A Nintendo Switch physical version, limited to 2,900 copies is also in the plans however it will be released later in April 2022 and will set you back €29.99.
