Glass Cannon Unplugged has announced Frostpunk The Board Game to have reached its goal on Kickstarter by reaching the €1.8 million target. With over 14,600 backers, the goal was reached with two days left to go in the Kickstarter campaign.

The game will also come with a companion app with the board game, which will be capable of revolutionizing single-player board games. Frostpunk: The Board Game is a tabletop adaptation of the best selling survival city-builder that is forged by Glass Cannon Unplugged with support from 11 Bit Studios.

CEO of Glass Cannon Unplugged, Jakub Wiśniewski, had this to say,

We believe the app will be a breath of fresh air for the tabletop community and could revolutionize the way we approach playing board games. Tabletop games that aim for solo gameplay will benefit from a never-seen-before shared experience.

In Frostpunk The Board Game, players will take on the roles of Social, Health, Generator, and Resource Advisors; leaders of the colony settled around the warmth-giving generator. With the companion app, your group of four friends including you will be able to connect with another group of players that rule a similar settlement next to theirs as neighbors in those hard, demanding times.

You can then share unique codes, your own creation of virtual settlements will be shared on the market space with all the types of resources to trade from. Trades will depend on the relationship between settlements, and of course, the change in demands and price fluctuations.
