D3 Publisher has released a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming PS4 exclusive Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain and it shows a lot of gameplay. Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain is a third-person shooter under development and it is coming out exclusively on PS4. The new trailer focuses on the gameplay only and it is quite extensive.
The new trailer shows us the giant enemies players will be facing against as well as new classes which will be used to take down these giant insect enemies. A new class revealed in this trailer is the Prowl Rider. Other classes included in the trailer are Trooper, Heavy Striker and Jet Lifter. Each class in the game comes with its own unique abilities and moves that will help them in battle.
In EDF: Iron Rain, players will face a different number of enemies which include giant insects, giant robots and big alien monsters. The enemy roster is very diverse this time around as well. Players will need to switch to different classes to tackle certain heavy enemies. The new class system will keep the players busy as they can try out all classes and pick their favorite ones for the battle.
EDF: Iron Rain will also feature multiplayer which is called Mercenaries in the game. In this mode, players will jump in two teams of four players each. One player in each team belongs to EDF while the other three players belong to Kindred Rebellion. Each team will then battle to take down as many enemies as they can and collect the energy gems dropped by them.
After collection, the players must bring these gems to a collector drone. This will add to the score of the team. At the end of the round, the team with the highest score will be the winner of the round. The match will continue until a team wins three matches before the other one. The first team to win three rounds, will be the winner.
