Different Tales is a brand new studio created by two developers who previously used to work on The Witcher franchise. The studio came out of nowhere and the developers have also revealed their first project and guess what, it is arriving next month.
The studio Different Tales has been formed by Arur Ganszyniec, ex-head story designer for The Witcher, and Jacek Brzezinski who was project lead for The Witcher franchise. Jacek has also worked on Hitman and Dying Light so he has even more experience when it comes to video games.
The first title releasing under the umbrella of Different Tales is Wanderlust: Travel Stories. This game features five explorers who tell their stories to each other and the player then experiences each story first-hand. Players will be required to make sure that the storyteller’s mental and physical health is maintained until the end of the journey to finish the tale.
Check out the release trailer for the game below.
The website details that the game was created by a team of travelers, journalists, artists and game makers. All stories in the game are inspired by real-life experiences. The website further states:
What you’re about to experience are not just stories. They are someone’s stories
The developers also state that their goal is to create a game that is focused on assumptions and feelings rather than challenging skills and reflexes. The Slow Games allow players to experience them at their own pace and grow. The game will feature some amazing locations ranging from mysterious statues of Easter Island, bustling streets of Bangkok and vast expanses of Antarctic.
The official website of the studio is now live and it has detailed information about both the studio and the game. In addition, you can also purchase the game on Steam now, however, the release date is planned for August 28, 2019.
