Menagerie Guide – Destiny 2

Our Destiny 2 Menagerie Guide will tell you how to unlock this brand new activity in Destiny and also what is required in order to complete this activity.

How to Unlock Menagerie in Destiny 2

Before you begin, you must know that the recommended Power Level for Menagerie is 690 and you will be facing enemies which are Power Level 700+ so you must be well prepared before you jump in this activity. Before you can begin, however, there are a few quests that you must complete in order to be eligible to participate in the matchmaking for Menagerie.

Start by heading to the Tower and visit Benedict-44 located where Ada-1 was present during the Season of the Forge. After the interaction, you will be instructed to head to Nessus and meet with Werner 99-40 there. You will find his barge located on the north end of the map. Your first task here is to kill 10 Cabal for him.

The second task is to kill 25 Vertex with melee damage. For the next step, you are required to generate robs, earn XP and complete one challenge. The best way to complete all of these is to start a Nightfall Strike. If you use a Masterworked gun during this Strike, you will generate orbs at a much higher pace and you will easily earn XP and complete different challenges during a single Strike.

For the final task, you must find a chest in the Well of Flame on Nessus. Head to the Cistern where the Well of Flame is located and you will need some fancy footwork to get inside. There is a tall structure which has a large gap in the wall. Get up to it and you will be able to drop down the large chute inside. Turn around quickly and you will find a chest sitting there.

Open the chest and head back to Werner 99-40 to complete all requirements. Interact with him and you will get access to Menagerie where you can complete the challenges within with a fireteam. We have detailed how you can complete the activity below.

How to Complete Menagerie in Destiny 2

Menagerie is essentially a matchmade activity in Destiny 2 Season of Opulence that is played with 6 Guardians. During the activity, the Guardians will come across a series of challenge rooms. Each room will have different objectives such as collecting orbs or killing a specific number of enemies. Your progress is recording by a bar on the left side of the screen.

Your ultimate goal is to fill this bar by completing the room objectives. When the bar is full, you and your team will be put against the final boss which is always accompanied by some annoying elite Harpies. The only way to damage the boss is by killing the Harpies first and then opening up the boss so he can be damaged. Kill the boss and the activity is complete. Each Guardian is awarded points at the end which can be used to upgrade the reward chalice.
