Chapter 1 – Trickster Key
In the first chapter of the game, you will need to open the Trickster Door, which to no surprise, is unlocked from a Trickster Key that you need to find. The key can be found in Fortress Path, straight north from the center of this area. If you open your map, you will see two paths a fork that leads you to two paths, one straight north, while the other is also heading north but to the left. To get the key, take the path on the right, or the one that is going straight up.
Once you reach this area, you will come across an area with flowing lava below you, and a broken wooden bridge that will have the key right at the end on a very tight path created by the last pieces of the wooden bridge. Walk carefully, and then collect the key. With the key in hand, you can now open the Trickster Door found in the Void.
Chapter 1 – Void Gate
This puzzle can be found when you reach the end of Chapter 1 in the game. It will be a gate that is found in the Void, and it requires a few steps before you proceed further in the game. When you reach this area, you will come to a red glowing and round platform. Right at the center will be an object that you need to destroy to get the Vorpal Blade.
The Vorpal Blade is a key item here and is important to solve the puzzles. The blade is a weapon that can be thrown from a distance and allow you to hit enemies or even object that are afar. With the Vorpal Blade in hand, go to the main area of the Void or to the right by double jumping from one platform to the other. You will then reach the main center hall of the Void.
This is where you will need to use the Vorpal Blade for the puzzle. Throw the blade at the blue button which will open up the gate next to it. Now proceed in this area, and then grapple to the platform that will be a little far, but you will have a prompt to use your grapple and reach it. On the new platform, you will have to the two blue buttons with the Vorpal Blade and then jump at the right moment when you have enough gust of air that will give you enough lift to reach the next platform.
On the next platform will be a fire and some lanterns. You have to use your Vorpal Blade to first select the fire and then the lanterns as your target. Now throw the Vorpal Blade and it will hit the flame and then the two lanterns on the left. This will open up the area that will end Chapter 1.
Chapter 2 – Reach Slag Demon
This puzzle can be found in the second chapter of the game, where you need to complete it to reach the boss in this area. The boss is called the Slag Demon and you have to reach him and fight him to progress in the story.
The puzzle is specifically found in The Slag Heap area of Chapter 2, where you will need to go to three different platforms and defeat enemies. Each group of enemies you take down will only take you closer to the boss. Here you will come across three signs that you need to activate to reach the end. Once you have done that, you are then ready to face the Slag Demon.
Chapter 3 – Dungeon
In the third chapter of the game, you will need to access the dungeon to proceed further in the game. For this, you need to g to the path that is in The Furnace. Here, you will come across a gate with large spikes blocking your path up. You need to jump on the large pillar on the left with the blue lever. Jump on it and let it slide all the way down.
Now quickly jump back and climb up the gate before the spikes pop out again. The lever is timed so you have to activate it and then hurry to climb the gate. The next part involves two more levers that need to be activated at the same time. You will need another player to help you out in this. This will open up the door that leads you to the next area.
Chapter 4 – Temple Dungeon
When you reach Chapter 4, you will need to access another dungeon in this area. The puzzle will be different as opposed to the previous chapter but works on the same principle of activating items to unlock the dungeon.
The dungeon requires you to activate four fire beacons to access the temple dungeon. The first beacon is to the right, which will have some enemies around it that you have to take out first. To light the beacons on fire, you need to use the Vorpal Blade, select the path of the blade to first go through the fire and then the rest of the targets to light up all the pillars.
Now that you got the general idea, you can now go to the next three beacons until the entrance to the temple dungeon is open for you.
Chapter 4 – Void Bomb
In the fourth chapter of the game, you will come across a key item called the Void Bomb, which is required to progress in the chapter. As you keep playing the chapter, you will get the Void Bomb, which you need to throw at the purple marked sign on the wall. This is the entrance to the portal that will take you ahead on the other side.
Throw the Void Bomb at the sign, and then quickly thrown another to the other portal sign where you need to go. It will be just ahead on the other side of the platform. This will create a portal that you can jump in and then be transported to the area ahead.
Towards the end of this chapter, you will have to open up a gate to complete the chapter. However, this comes after you beat the boss in this area called Molten Hound. Once you are done with the hound, you then need to use the Void Bomb on both the portal gates.
Chapter 6 – Gate with 6 Buttons
In the sixth chapter of the game, you will come across a gate with six buttons, three on each side. Your task is to activate the correct buttons to open the gate, and then use the bombs in this area to throw it at the target inside the opened gate.
You need your Vorpal Blade for this, and you need to hit the farthest button on the left, and the first button to the right of the gate. Select the blade and draw out the path of the blade to hit the button on the left and then the right. This will open up the gate for a few seconds, and you have to pick up the bomb and fling it inside before the gate closes.
If you are successful, this will open up the gate on the top level. A small cutscene will indicate that it is now opened.
Chapter 7 – Crystal Keys
In this chapter, you will need to open a gate with Crystal Keys that can be found in the area. Your task is to find and bring the two Crystal Keys to the main area where the gate can be unlocked.
From the gate, you will find two paths on the left that will be locked. You will need to use Void Bombs on the portals, and then toss in a Bomb Growths in the portal. This will launch the bomb on the wall, destroying it, and opening up the path for you to get the Crystal Key.
The other Crystal Key is to the right of the main gate. When you go to this area, the wall will be hidden, but it is to the right of the glowing door. When you enter this hidden gate, you will need to clear out the enemies and solve a puzzle. You have to use the Void Bombs to first hit the portal gats ahead, and then stand on the button which will lower the gate. Now throw the Valor Blade straight into the portal that was blocked by the gate, and it will travel to hit the trigger on the right. It is quite easy to complete, and you can then collect the second Crystal Key.
Chapter 8 – Drain Poison Water
In this chapter, you will come to an area that will be filled with green poisonous water that you need to drain and clear out from this location. To do just that, you need to open the valves that are stopping the flow of the water.
The valves are all around this area, but you can find one behind the waterfall. Another will be towards the top area of the waterfall. The third valve is near the area with the ware pipes. Lastly, the final valve is behind a wall that you can destroy with the Bomb Growths to access it.
Chapter 11 – Aether Spark
In this chapter, you will come across another key item that is required to solve the puzzle in this area. You need to use the Aether Spark to guide the glowing sphere into the yellow object on the other side.
You will need to complete another such puzzle where you need to guide the glowing sphere within the blue lines and towards the object where the sphere will contact.
Chapter 14 – Treasure Chest
In this chapter, you will need to solve the puzzle to get to a treasure chest. In the area, you will find a moving platform or rail that you need to get on. As you travel on it, you will then see a large pillar on the right that you need to jump on. Here, you need to use the Valor Blade to hit the blue button and activate it.
Now head down to the lower level of this area, you will come across portal gates. Hit them with the Void Bomb and jump in. You will then have to wait until your character is high enough to access the button on the right. Wait for it and then hit it to activate. This will complete the puzzle and open up the area containing the chest.
