Cyberpunk 2077 Steam

According to reports, Cyberpunk 2077 has lost 79% of players playing the game on Steam since its launch back in December and it has done it three times faster than The Witcher 3, which was CD Projekt’s big release back in 2015.

According to the numbers collected by Githyp, Cyberpunk 2077 has lost players three times faster than 2015’s The Witcher 3. CD Projekt Red’s recently released Cyberpunk 2077 has seen a 79% decline in players on Steam since its launch. Cyberpunk had a record-breaking release as it became the first single-player game to boast 1 million concurrent users on Steam.

But things haven’t been the same since the launch date, as the game has been plagued by poor performance issues and game-breaking bugs and glitches. And now, the RPG is now barely managing to hit 225,000 players at a time. This drop has occurred three times faster than the studio’s previous game, 2015’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which saw a 79% decline in players within three months.

Not only this, CD Projekt came under fire for several other issues as well even before its launch. In the build-up to launch, it emerged that the title could trigger seizures in those suffering from epilepsy. Cyberpunk 2077 also came under fire for its poor graphics on the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game.

All these problems have led to Cyberpunk 2077 and CD Projekt Red facing heavy criticism. Both Sony and Microsoft are offering refunds for the game, while Sony has taken the extraordinary step of pulling the title from the PlayStation Store.

CD Projekt is also facing several class-action lawsuits from investors who feel that the company misled them over the quality of Cyberpunk 2077. One such case has been filed by New York firm Rosen Law, with CD Projekt vowing “vigorous action” to defend itself.

CD Projekt Red has apologized to the players for poor performance and has vowed to keep releasing fixes and patches on all the platforms as soon as possible to fix the player’s game experience. We will have to wait and see what steps the company takes to fix all the problems surrounding Cyberpunk 2077.
