Developer Plethora Project has announced its brand-new game Common’hood which is a resource management title. The game involves building, farming, crafting, automating, and more in order to help a community of people who are down and out on their luck, and you transform them into a thriving community.
Common’hood revolves around the story of a young woman who has lost her home and her father after being unable to pay the bills. She settles inside an abandoned factory that was once owned by her family and finds a community of people living there in poor conditions. After finding the community, you decide to work with them in order to change the lives of everyone living there and help the community grow in every aspect of their lives.
You get to grow food to feed everyone in the family and the story progresses further to unlock additional features of the game such as automating food growth, designing and crafting buildings, connecting with fellow community members, and more. The shelter can be shaped and changed depending on the needs of the community. You can interact with people living in your community to learn more about their needs and decide what you want to do next in the community.
Key features of the game include:
- Take care of settlers, form connections, and help them feel like an important part of the community
- Grow self-sustaining food sources out of a variety of crops which in turn gives access to a variety of recipes to cook
- Highly detailed building tools allow players to have free reign of their factory. Craft shelters, workshops, and even high tech manufacturing facilities
- As you scavenge and explore, discover more about the factory and how it came to be abandoned
- Bring friends along and design and build together
- Share unique designs with the online community
Plethora Project has not announced a confirmed release date for Common’hood however the game is slated to release in Q4 2022. It will release with multiplayer support which will provide a co-op extension of the game’s sandbox mode. You will get to work together with your friends to build and sustain incredible communities and then upload your creations to the singleplayer mode for use. The game will allow co-op with up to four players.
