After breaking free from the Testing Facility, Violet finally steps outside and gets a brief moment of calm before the danger begins again. This guide covers both the route leading to the Preservation Facility and everything that happens inside it. Your objective stays the same throughout: push forward, clear threats, solve puzzles, and uncover the truth. Preservation Facility Walkthrough Guide – Code Violet
Once you are outside the Testing Facility, move downhill and cross the wooden bridge. Near the first abandoned vehicles, a Raptor will ambush you, so be ready to deal with it as soon as it appears.
After passing through the first gate, you will be introduced to a new enemy type –Dilophosaurus. These dinosaurs stay at range and spit poisonous attacks instead of rushing you. Watch for their frill opening just before they attack. Take them out carefully and use an Antidote if you get poisoned. A Raptor joins the fight here as well, so make sure the area is fully clear before moving on.
Continue past the broken bridge and cross the intact wooden one ahead. Stick to the main trail, checking the sides for loot and enemies, and push forward until you reach another gate. Once through it, head straight toward the building in the distance. This marks your arrival at the Preservation Facility.
Entering the Preservation Facility
Inside, you will enter a large Lobby, which contains a massive T-Rex dinosaur skeleton. This area contains a good amount of loot, with access to a Dressing Room and an Armory, so use them if you need to save, organize gear, or upgrade weapons. Near the center, you will find a dead body holding a powerful firearm and ammo, which is a big help moving forward.
Two exits are visible here: Raptor Exhibit and Preservation Hub, but Preservation Hub is blocked by ice for now. Take the open route into the Raptor Exhibit first.
Raptor Exhibit and Security Wing
The exhibit is filled with Raptor skeleton displays, but the danger comes from live Dilophosaurus. Deal with the spitting dinosaur inside before searching the room. Once it is clear, head into the Security area. Small Compsognathus enemies will swarm you as you approach the room. Defeat them to enter the room and trigger a cutscene.
Afterward, grab the items from inside this room. You will also find lockers with useful medical supplies, and one locked locker that can be opened with a simple word-based code. Inside is an attachment that makes stealth and combat a bit easier.
Return to the Raptor exhibit and enter Plasma Heating Control. Clear the enemies here carefully; some Raptors pretend to be dead before attacking. Once the room is safe, interact with the control console on the left. Insert the Power Core you collected earlier from the Security area and adjust the plasma flow by switching pipe heights, so plasma can flow to the next terminal. This will activate the terminal. Activate each terminal in sequence until the system fully powers up.
Before leaving, look above the doorway and disable the blue laser system to open up blocked paths elsewhere.
Back to the Lobby and Into the Preservation Hub
On your way back through the Raptor Exhibit, more Raptor enemies will ambush you from above. Defeat them and return to the Lobby. The ice blocking the second exit will now be gone, allowing access to the Preservation Hub.
The Preservation Hub connects several important areas. Before moving forward, quickly check the restrooms for supplies. You will see two exits here: the Thermal Regulation Wing and the Incubator. The Incubator path leads deeper into the facility, while the other is locked for now.
Proceed down the corridor toward the Incubator. The hallway splits into parallel paths, each guarded by different enemies. Clear all of them before advancing.
Past this corridor, you will reach another safe setup with a Dressing Room and an Armory. Prepare yourself here, then move toward the large Incubator door. It is sealed, so instead, take the side route into the T-Rex Exhibit.
T-Rex Exhibit and Side Areas
As soon as you enter, multiple Raptors will attack at once. Eliminate them, then search the room for supplies spread around the skeleton display. You will then find two rooms here: the Gym and Meat Processing.
First, head into the Gym. Small Compsognathus enemies swarm inside, but once they are gone, you can collect useful items and an old key that will be important later.
Next, move into Meat Processing. This area provides another chance to save and prepare. In the next room, push movable crates aside to reach hidden supplies before continuing.
Meat Curing and Storage
From Meat Processing, head into Meat Curing. This room contains multiple enemies, including both Raptor and Dilophosaurus. Deal with them carefully before exploring. Several side rooms here hold useful items, and a door leads into Meat Storage.
Inside Meat Storage, disable the laser barrier by shooting the blue glass tube on the wall. Before leaving, search the area thoroughly to find an important key needed to open the next major section: Thermal Regulation Wing. You will find a dead body at the end of the central room, which provides you with a key and other loot. Picking it up will trigger another enemy encounter, so be ready to fight.
When you return, the main hallway will now be blocked, forcing you through an Incinerator route on the left. Crawl through carefully, watching for bursts of flame and moving only when it is safe. There will be three flamethrowers at the end of your way. Make your way through both incinerator sections until you exit back into Meat Processing.
From here, you can unlock a side room using a memory puzzle to grab additional healing supplies and other supplies. After finishing up, backtrack all the way to the Preservation Hub.
Thermal Regulation Wing
With the new key, you can now open the Thermal Regulation Wing. Expect another Dilophosaurus enemy right away. Clear it out and take note of blocked paths for outfits.
When you reach the end of the hallway, you will see two exits: on the south and on the west. Explore the south room first. This area looks like a dead end, but has a crawlspace on the right leading to a room with two more rooms. Solve a keypad puzzle on the left door here to access medical supplies, then move to the right door room here and use the old key from earlier to open a locker that upgrades your inventory capacity.
Return to the hallway. Finally, take the main western door. A group of small Compsognathus enemies will rush you, but once they are defeated, interact with the terminal at the end of the room. When it activates, your objective updates.
Return to the Incubator – Boss Encounter
Your next destination is back at the Incubator. One of the doors here is now open. Before entering, make sure you are well-prepared with ammo, healing items, and strong weapons. Inside, a scene plays and immediately leads into a boss fight.
The Raptor Hybrid (half man/half raptor) is fast, aggressive, and hits hard up close. The best strategy is to keep your distance, unload damage with powerful weapons such as Annihilator/Assault Rifle/Shotgun, and constantly reposition. If it closes in, dodge away and create space again. Heal only when you have room to breathe.
After enough damage, the fight ends with a cutscene.
Exiting the Facility
Once you regain control, follow the path ahead and gather nearby supplies. Continue through the final doors, checking the last few containers along the way.
Step outside, and with that, Violet successfully leaves the Preservation Facility. This section wraps up the journey, pushing the story forward and setting the stage for what comes next.
