To unlock the Double Jump ability, you must start the game and keep on progressing until you reach the Livre Ex Machina map. On this map, you are required to beat which has the Double Jump ability. The time to reach this exact boss will depend on your playthrough style because the more you explore each map, the higher the time you will require to reach the map and this certain boss.
The boss is located near the end of the level in a secluded area on the upper right side. It is important that you find and beat this boss right when you get access to this level because the ability is very important and you will need it to progress further in the game. Against the boss, I highly recommend that you use weapons that excel at blunt, lightning and piercing damage.
The most effective damage against this boss is lightning so try to stick to this certain type of damage as much as possible.
