Our Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Inventory Guide details everything that you need to know in order to easily manage your gear and equipment in the Inventory.

Starting with the top of the screen, you will be able to see different resources and their amount, which you currently have in your possession. You will have a variety of inventory items already collected in your inventory if you have played the game a little bit. These inventory items are detailed below.

Arrows – These are your number of arrows and which type of arrows are currently in your inventory. You can pick them up from dead enemies and arrow stands.

Resources – You will gather a wide range of resources on your journey throughout the land or seas.

Trade Goods – These items can only be sold to merchants and have no other use. You will find them on dead enemies or containers scattered around the map.

Quest Items – Quest Items are specific quest related items, which will be used for completing different quests in the game. They will remain in your inventory permanently or until the quest is completed.

Orichalcum Ore – This is one of the rarest resources in the game. You can trade it for legendary items. It may be earned by completing message board quests or war contracts.

Weapons

You have six different types of melee weapons to choose from. Each weapon type has their own unique advantages and disadvantages. Apart from melee weapons, you will also have your bow which is only limited to one type. Depending on your gaming style, you can choose any weapon that suits you best.

As you make progress in the game, you will earn more weapons and you can switch to them. Even if you do not have your favorite weapon right at the start, play the game a little bit and you will eventually unlock more types of weapons. As you level up, you will be able to use better weapons, upgrade them at blacksmith or equip Engravings to add bonuses to the weapons.

Gear

The gear section of the inventory screen will show you your armor and weapons. You can choose a weapon or armor piece to see more options and equip the most suitable one. The default icons on the screen will show the pieces, which are currently equipped in the game. You can have a total of 350 gear items at one time. There is no limit for quest items and documents however.

On this screen, you can also choose the arrow type that is currently equipped in your bow. For this to unlock, you must first purchase the Arrow Master ability. To change the equipped arrow, simply press left on the D-Pad. You can also use a torch in dark areas for some light by pressing right on the D-Pad. You can also toggle your headgear by clicking the R down. This will allow you to see or hide your character’s face while battles and cutscenes if they are wearing head armor.

Looking further down, you will be able to see your Hunter Damage, Warrior Damage and Assassin Damage. These represent your damage with each type of weapon. Hunter Damage shows your damage with ranged weapons such as bow and arrows. Hunter damage represent damage done using stealth abilities and kills. Warrior Damage is your damage output with melee weapons such as swords and spears. You total health is also displayed here.

You can increase all these stats by getting better armor, weapons and Engravings. As you level up in the game, you will be able to wear more higher-level armor pieces and weapons. This will cause your damage stats and health stats to go up and you will become better and more capable in combat.

Armor and weapons fall in four different categories based on their rarity. These are common, rare, epic and legendary. As the armor piece or weapon increases in rarity level, their stats also improve. Hence, it is vital that you equip better equipment for making combat easier and more favorable for you. Arrow Types

There are five different types of arrows other than the normal arrows. These special arrows come with special status effects or increased damage based on their type. Purchase the Arrow Master ability and you will be able to craft all these special types of arrows in the game. We have detailed the arrows below.

Basic Arrows – Requires 1 Olive Wood. Normal damage

Paralyzing Arrows – Requires 2 Olive Wood, 1 Soft Leather. Less damage but can knockout enemies

Poison Arrows – Requires 3 Olive Wood, 3 Soft Leather. Keep hitting enemies with this to fill their intoxication meter and poison them. They will suffer increased damage in this state. Purchasing Poison Mastery allows this meter to be filled much quickly.

Fire Arrows – Requires 3 Olive Wood, 3 Iron Metal. Keep hitting enemies with these arrows to fill their burn meter and cause burn. Once an enemy is burning, they will take a large amount of damage over time. Fire Mastery ability will help you build up the meter quickly.

Explosive Arrows – Requires 5 Olive Wood, 2 Iron Metal, 2 Soft Leather. These arrows explode on impact and deal burning damage to all enemies in range. You can also use these arrows to explode exploding red barrels.

Death Arrows – Requires 6 Olive Wood, 6 Iron, 4 Soft Leather. You will get to know about these arrows when The Daughters of Artemis teach you their secrets. Defeat two Legendary Animals to unlock this. It deals 100% more damage than a normal arrow.
