Indie developer Art Games Studio SA has announced that its first-person alchemy simulator with RPG elements, Alchemist: The Potion Monger will feature its demo during the upcoming Steam Next Fest. Steam Next Fest will be taking place from February 6 to 13, 2023, and will feature tons of new demos of upcoming titles. Alchemist: The Potion Monger combines simulation, puzzle, and RPG mechanics to deliver a unique sandbox experience where you can brew different potions, head out into town and change different aspects of it with your potions. You step in the shoes of an apprentice of the alchemical arts in a world full of anthropomorphic animals. You can choose your race from a wide range of animal types with each offering unique strengths and weaknesses.
To create and process ingredients for your potions, you will use different tools such as demonic altars, holy water, time-controlling sands, and much more. For brewing the potions, you will need to put all of the ingredients along with their required tools and modifications into your cauldron. Once brewed, you can either sell them to the townspeople or use them yourself in different scenarios. Selling the potions to the townspeople will earn you gold making you richer. Each customer will come with their own unique demands for the potions they need.
If you decide to keep the potions for yourself, you can use them on your adventures while you are out exploring the wilds. You can use the potions for various buffs such as healing yourself, immense strength, high jumps, and even flying around the town. Apart from using the potions for your own buffs, you can throw the potions at NPCs or the ground for various effects as well. For example, you may instantly grow fields, or you can make the NPCs fly into the sky by throwing potions at them. The world of Alchemist: The Potion Monger is filled with secrets and you can explore it all.
