Slingshot Guide – Burglin’ Gnomes
You can buy the Slingshot from the Well of Creation for 2 Grabble. Once purchased, it is automatically equipped by the player who bought it and stays attached to their back. It appears as a large Y-shaped frame that they carry around.
The player wearing the Slingshot cannot use it by themselves. Instead, it is designed for another teammate to interact with, making it useful only when you are playing with at least one other person.
How to Launch Yourself
To use the Slingshot, another player must stand directly behind the teammate carrying it. They should reach out and grab both sides of the Slingshot with their hands. After grabbing it, slowly pull backward. As you keep moving back, the Slingshot stretches farther until it reaches its maximum distance. Once it can no longer stretch, it automatically launches you forward.
This sends you flying a considerable distance, allowing you to cross large gaps or reach areas that are difficult or impossible to access through normal movement.
The Trade-Off
Using the Slingshot comes with one major downside. As soon as you are launched, your character’s arms are ripped off, leaving you unable to use them for a short period.
The good news is that this effect is only temporary. After a few seconds, your arms will slowly grow back, and you will be able to use them again as normal. Because of this, it is a good idea to think about when you use the Slingshot, since you will briefly lose the ability to interact with objects after every launch.
