Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Gets New Trailer, Confirms Netflix Launch for Fall 2026

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2

CD PROJEKT RED has released a brand-new trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, confirming that the standalone anime series will premiere on Netflix in Fall 2026.

The new trailer offers another look at the next chapter set in Night City, this time following an entirely new cast of characters. Unlike the first Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, the sequel tells a standalone story that explores another side of the dystopian metropolis from Cyberpunk 2077, focusing on the lives of those trying to survive as Edgerunners.

Alongside the trailer, CD PROJEKT RED also unveiled the anime’s main promotional artwork. The series is directed by Kai Ikarashi, with character designs by Ichigo Kanno, while the story is written by CD PROJEKT RED’s Bartosz Sztybor and Masahiko Otsuka. As with the original series, animation duties are being handled by Studio TRIGGER.

The song featured in the latest trailer, “You Can’t Run From Me” by Rico Nasty, was written specifically for the anime and is now available on major music streaming platforms.

Fans attending Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles will get an early look at the series before its official release. CD PROJEKT RED has confirmed it will host a dedicated Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 panel on July 3, where attendees can watch the premiere episode during an exclusive screening. The presentation will feature showrunner Bartosz Sztybor, executive producer Saya Elder, director Kai Ikarashi, and voice actor Nazeeh Tarsha, with content creator Danny Motta hosting the discussion.

Released in 2022, the original Cyberpunk: Edgerunners became one of Netflix’s biggest anime hits and helped reignite interest in Cyberpunk 2077, introducing many viewers to Night City through its tragic standalone story.
