Crimson Desert Aeserion’s Scale Guide – Where to Get

This Crimson Desert Aeserion’s Scale Guide shows how to get Aeserion Scales to max upgrade your gear in the game. Aeserion Scales are one of the most important upgrade materials in the game because they are required to upgrade your gear to Tier 10. The game does not clearly explain where to get them, which can confuse you once your equipment reaches Tier 9.

You may notice that when you go to the Smithy to refine your gear, equipment upgraded to Tier 9 will eventually require an Aeserion Scale in addition to Abyss Artifacts to continue upgrading. Without these scales, you cannot fully max out your weapons or armor. Since it is not explained properly, many players may miss out on this.

Where to Find Aeserion Scales

To start farming Aeserion Scales, travel to Delesyia on the far right side of the map. The exact location you need is called the Serpent Shrine.

As soon as you arrive, you will notice the massive serpent Aeserion moving around the shrine area. The good news is that you do not need to defeat this terrifying snake-like creature at all. The only thing you really need to do is avoid getting too close while collecting materials.

Around the shrine, you will see several glowing silver objects scattered throughout the area. These are the Aeserion Scales that can be collected.

How to Collect the Scales

To gather the scales, you must have a Kuku Pot in your inventory. This item is used together with the Axiom Hand to seal the scales.

If you don’t have a Kuku Pot, you can craft one in Hernand after completing the related questline there. Once you get the pot, walk up to the glowing silver scale nodes and use your Axiom Hand on them. After grabbing the scale, use the seal option to store it inside the Kuku Pot.

The shrine contains many scales, and they are also marked on the minimap, which makes them fairly easy to track down. You can continue running around the shrine collecting multiple scales while staying away from the serpent whenever it gets close.

How to Use Aeserion Scales

After collecting the scales, you may notice that the smithy still acts like you do not have any in your inventory. This is because the scales remain stored inside the Kuku Pot until you manually remove them.

Open your inventory and select the Kuku Pot. Inside, you will see all of the scales you collected. Choose the take-out option to move them into your normal inventory.

Once they are removed, the scales become usable crafting materials just like ores and other upgrade resources. Now, when you return to the smithy and open the refinement menu, the game will correctly recognize your Aeserion Scales. This will allow you to continue upgrading your gear all the way to Tier 10.
