Saros King Boss Battle Guide – How to Defeat, Tips & Tricks

Saros King Boss Battle Guide

This Saros King Boss Battle Guide details all the tips and tricks needed to defeat the King. King is the final boss in Saros, and as expected, this fight throws everything at you. Multiple attack types, constant pressure, and very little room for mistakes. It may feel overwhelming at first, but once you understand his patterns and when to stay aggressive, the fight becomes much more controlled.

King Boss Battle Guide – Saros

King’s weak point is his head, so always aim there when possible, to deal maximum damage. Throughout the fight, he will frequently surround himself with a yellow shield. Whenever this happens, you must move in and use your melee, Blazing Strike, to break it before you can damage him again.

Another helpful trick is using your Power Weapon or Overdrive during his attacks. If timed well, you can interrupt his sequence for a brief moment, giving you space to recover or reposition.

Phase 1 – Learning the Pattern

In the first phase, King mixes a variety of projectile attacks, but many of them are manageable once you understand their behavior.

One common move is a spiral of blue projectiles that stays in place briefly before turning into homing shots. This is actually a great chance to use your shield and absorb them to recharge your abilities.

He also uses a two-part attack where he sends out tight shockwave rings on the ground, followed by a circular wall of projectiles. Jump over the shockwaves first, then either dash through the next wave or absorb it if you are ready.

At times, he creates blue projectile walls on both sides while slowly moving toward you and firing shots from above. The safest option here is simply to move backward and stay out of range.

Some attacks may look intense, like multiple waves coming from different angles, but you can often just hold your shield and absorb everything safely.

You will also notice smaller details, like projectiles moving along the ground or orbs forming near his feet. These can either track you or explode after pausing. If they stop around you, quickly move away before they detonate, then prepare to jump or dodge the follow-up shockwaves.

Overall, Phase 1 is about learning patterns, using your shield effectively, and breaking his shield whenever it appears.

Phase 2 – Faster and More Dangerous

In the second phase, many of the same attacks return, but they become more aggressive and harder to avoid.

The spiral attacks now may include stronger projectiles that can’t be absorbed, so you will need to rely more on dodging instead of shielding. Similarly, the two-stage attack returns but becomes more dangerous because of red nova projectiles, requiring better timing when jumping and dashing.

Blue orb attack by King

King also starts using larger explosive attacks that spread across the arena. These can include dome-like bursts, projectiles that rise and then home in, or waves moving across the ground. Staying mobile is very important here.

A new and dangerous move is his melee dash. He pulls his arm back, and just before lunging, it flashes briefly. That flash is your signal, dodge immediately after to avoid getting hit.

He may also fire a large laser attack after raising his arms. This can be avoided with a well-timed dash, but be careful of extra shockwaves that follow.

Another tricky situation is when he creates curved projectile walls while also activating his shield. You will need to carefully move through a gap in the projectiles, reach him, and break the shield again to continue dealing damage.

Red and yellow orb attack by King

Sometimes he moves far away and fills the arena with falling projectiles from above while also sending waves along the ground. If you are far enough, you can avoid most of it by staying out of the main area of impact.

Phase 3 – Full Chaos

In the final phase, everything becomes faster and more intense. Most of his earlier attacks return, but they now include stronger variations and less room for error.

Spiral projectiles, shockwaves, and homing attacks all come back, often mixed. Some projectiles may freeze near you before exploding into multiple waves, so always be ready to move as soon as you see them stop.

He also introduces a large cone-shaped attack made of yellow projectiles. The narrow end reaches you first, so you need to dodge to the side or move through the wider part carefully.

Another new attack involves fast-moving beams that sweep toward you one after another. These require quick reactions and good positioning to avoid.

As the fight nears its end, King will again activate his shield and create a wall of projectiles with no clear opening. In this moment, you need to dash through the attack and break the shield to trigger the final sequence.

After breaking through his final defense, the fight concludes with a finishing sequence where Arjun defeats King. A new path then appears at the edge of the arena, leading into the final moments of the story.
