Saros Bastion Boss Battle Guide – How to Defeat, Tips & Tricks

This Saros Bastion Boss Battle Guide details all the tips and tricks you need to defeat Bastion easily. Bastion is the second major boss in Saros, and it feels very different from the first one. Instead of a creature, you are fighting a huge mechanical turret built into the environment. The fight is fast, full of projectiles, and forces you to keep moving at all times. Once you understand its attack patterns and how the arena works, the fight becomes much more manageable.

Bastion Boss Battle Guide – Saros

This boss fight takes place in three phases, which are listed below.

Phase 1 – Learning the Patterns

The fight begins instantly, so be ready the moment you enter the arena. Bastion drops down from the ceiling and starts attacking right away. One of its most common moves is firing two shots into the ground, which then turn into wide walls of bullets moving across the arena. These can be blue or yellow, sometimes mixed, and they come repeatedly, so don’t relax after dodging just one wave. Always use the shield and move towards the blue side.

Another attack involves a laser aimed at the ground that sends out circular shockwaves. Each wave grows taller than the last, so simple movement won’t always save you. This is where the jump pads around the arena become important, as they help you clear the bigger waves safely.

You will also see a large cluster of projectiles fired in one direction. Since they don’t track you, you can just move to the side and avoid them easily. A spiral attack also appears, with different colors in the center and outer edges. In this phase, the middle is safer to absorb with your shield, so positioning matters a lot.

One of the most dangerous moves is when Bastion locks onto you with a thin laser that suddenly becomes a damaging beam. It follows your movement and is surrounded by projectiles, making it tricky to escape. A good way to deal with it is to move quickly across the arena and use the platforms or jump pads to reposition until the beam ends.

Phase 2 – More Pressure and Less Space

After taking down its first health bar, Bastion pulls back and adds new hazards to the arena. Lasers appear on the sides and stay there, reducing how much space you can safely move in. Before the boss returns, you will need to destroy the smaller turret enemies that spawn around the area. Focus on clearing them quickly so the fight can continue.

When Bastion comes back, its earlier attacks return but with small changes. The projectile walls now include red ones, which are harder to deal with, so using jump pads becomes even more important. The spiral attack also changes, sometimes reversing its safe (blue) and dangerous (yellow) zones, so you need to pay attention each time.

A new attack fills the arena with floating blue projectiles that stop in place. Right after that, shockwaves are fired along the ground, so that you will jump and hit those frozen projectiles. If you stay farther away from the boss, these floating projectiles will disappear before the shockwaves reach you, making it much easier to avoid damage.

Another move sends homing projectiles from both sides. These will curve toward you, so the best approach is to keep moving and dash at the last moment to avoid getting hit.

Phase 3 – Faster and More Chaotic

In the final phase, Bastion once again retreats, and you will have to deal with more turret enemies. This time, some of them are protected, so you will need to get close and use melee attacks to destroy them.

When Bastion returns, all previous attacks come back, but at a much faster pace. The spiral attacks can now include red projectiles, making them more dangerous. Shockwaves happen more quickly and in larger numbers, so your timing needs to be sharp.

Movement becomes even more important here. You may need to use the upper platforms more often, but be careful since they can also be risky. The arena feels tighter, and attacks leave less room for mistakes, so staying calm and reacting quickly is key.

Rewards for Defeating Bastion

Once you defeat Bastion, you will get a large amount of 850-1000 Lucenite, so try to collect it quickly before it disappears. After that, head up the path behind where the boss was and use the jump pad to move forward.

As you continue, a short scene will play where something unexpected happens, pushing the story forward and setting up what comes next.
