How to Change Natures Using Mints in Pokemon Legends: Z-A
It is to be noted that you can not replace a Pokemon’s real nature. When you use mints on a Pokemon, it lets you change the stat effects of that Pokemon. Means that it does not change the nature, rather it changes only the effect that nature has on the stats of a Pokemon.
For example:
- A Lonely Mint increases your Pokemon’s Attack but lowers its Defense, just like a Lonely nature would.
- If you have a Gyarados with a Relaxed nature (+Defense, –Speed), but you want it to be of Jolly nature (+Speed, –Special Attack), you can simply feed it a Jolly Mint.
After using the Mint, you can see Pokemon’s nature on the status page. It will still show “Relaxed,” but it will act like Jolly. A red arrow pointing upwards, and a blue arrow pointing downwards, showing that the nature has been swapped.
How to Get Mints
You can buy Mints at outdoor flower stands, and each one costs 20,000 Poké dollars. There are 21 different Mints available in total.
You can buy the 4 Mints at a flower stand outside the Wild Zone 6, at the southwestern edge of the map. While the remaining 17 Mints can be bought at a small outdoor market near Wild Zone 3 in Rogue Plaza, close to the Looker Bureau.
A quick and easy way to find a Mint shop is to look for flower stands. Each of these stands offers four unique Mints plus one Serious Mint.
How to Use Mints
First of all, decide which Pokemon nature you want to change. After deciding, put the Pokemon whose stats you want to adjust into your party. Open your menu and go to Satchel and then Other Items. Select the Mint and press A, then choose “Use This Item.”
