A new Mondrian Plastic Reality demo video has been released by Lantana Games, which shows us how creators can express themselves in the game. the video also shows the Mondrian Maker level editor, Mondrian Studio graphic tools, and the in-game Museum.
Talking exclusively to GamerJibe’s Sarah Ngyuen, Danny Silvers from Lantana Games introduced artists to all the ways of sharing their artwork and being a part of a growing, creative community, and using each other’s creations in prints, merch, and even NFTs. Meanwhile, the demo also showed just how much content, variety, and excitement awaits players in the game’s unique blend of nostalgic gameplay and dynamically generated challenges.
Mondrian’s back & he’s taking his friends for a time-tripping, brick breaking spin through the Plastic Reality. Explore hundreds of ever-changing levels, compete on Leaderboards, build a Museum, and share your own creations via Mondrian Maker and Steam Workshop. The canvas is waiting.
So what is Mondrian Plastic Reality? You get to join Piet Mondrian and his friends on time-tripping heists through art history. The game includes toolsets that will offer you new ways to share your artwork with the world. The tools include the Mondrian Maker, an easy-to-learn level editor, and Mondrian Studio. You can import your artwork as background images for the Mondrian Maker/Studio creations, and upload them on the Steam Workshop instantly.

The GamerJibe art lounge was a wonderful event! We’ve always found it important to share our work directly with our audience, and the advent of digital platforms like GamerJibe has allowed us to bring Mondrian to audiences outside of our usual scope. We hope that this one hour video can shed some light on how Mondrian, as a platform, can help artists do the same, and bring their work to a creative community ready to discover, and play, new works from around the world.
