Paul George, who plays for LA Clippers, is teaming up once again with PlayStation and Nike to release the brand-new PG 5 PlayStation Colorway. This was announced on the official PlayStation Blog by Paul himself where he shared his passion for gaming with PlayStation while revealing his brand-new collaboration with PlayStation and Nike.
The result of the collaboration is the new PG 5 PlayStation 5 Colorway which has been created by Nike and PlayStation designers including Yujin Morisawa, the artist behind the PS5 console design. Both teams worked closely together to bring the spirit of Paul’s game and the PS5 console to life in this unique collaboration. Check out the reveal trailer below:
Paul describes the key features of the new PG 5 PlayStation Colorway as:
- As with all my PlayStation collaborations, the tongues of the shoe have the PG and PlayStation logos on them.
- The colors of the shoe are heavily inspired by the industrial design of the PS5 with references on the sock liner and outsoles.
- It wouldn’t be a true collaboration with PlayStation if we didn’t include the iconic PlayStation shapes, which are spotted along each shoe in the same pattern as on the DualSense wireless controller.
Each pair will also include a special hangtag that celebrates Paul’s partnership with PlayStation. The PG 5 PlayStation Colorway is slated for launch in select regions on May 14, 2021. If you want to secure your pair, you can download the Nike SNKRS app or keep an eye out on your local Nike website. Since they cost just $120, they are expected to sell out really quickly just like most custom Nike shoes.
