Normally, every time PlayStation holds a stream or an event, we get to see details on upcoming AAA or AA titles however last night PlayStation held a virtual event celebrating some of the indie titles coming to both PS4 and PS5 in the coming months. 7 titles were part of this event and all of them look amazing so far from some of the best developers out there currently working on these titles. We have listed all seven of these games below for you including the link to the full stream at the end of this article.
Operation: Tango
Operation: Tango is a new co-op puzzle game by Clever Play Studio where you get to play as an agent Angel or a hacker, Alistair. Despite both characters staying in the same world, their perspective is different so whichever character you pick in the game, you will be looking at the world through their perspective. The agent prefers the real world while the hacker prefers to stay in the digital world and they both must work together to solve plenty of complex puzzles and progress in the game.
The world of Operation: Tango is made up of unique themes, colors, and inspirations and balance play an important role here. There is no ‘main’ character here as both characters have an equal amount of responsibility in the game and none can progress without the help of the other character. The game is set in a world in the near future and your goal is to save this world before it is too late. The game will release on PS4 and PS5 in Spring.
Chicory: A Colorful Tale
Developed by Finji, Chicory: A Colorful Tale is a brand-new game all about colors and using them to paint the world. Chicory: A Colorful Tale features a unique painting mechanic that allows you to draw on everything all the time in the game. You can collect décor items and plants and later place them anywhere in the world at your own will. The game takes full use of DualSense’s advanced mechanics and really enhances the gameplay as it incorporates using the touchpad and even switch to left-handed gameplay for players who are left-handers. Chicory: A Colorful Tale is slated for release in Spring 2021 on PS4 and PS5.
Nour: Play With Your Food
Developed by Terrifying Jellyfish, Nour: Play With Your Food is a unique adventure where you get to experience a delicious interactive exploration into the aesthetics of food and drink. The beautiful, chaotic yet comforting aesthetics are coupled with a soundtrack that reflects each player’s unique preparations and plating and because of this, the soundtrack is your instrument in the game.
Nour: Play With Your Food features adaptive background music that compliments your dish. According to your dish, the music will heat up, cool down, rise, mix and even melt. Everything that you hear in the game is a unique combination of the ingredients that are cooking slowly in the game. As you wreak havoc or show restraint in the kitchen, the music will as well giving you a unique experience every time you play the game. Nour: Play With Your Food is slated for a summer 2021 release.
Puzzling Places
Developed by Realities.io, Puzzling Places is a 3D jigsaw puzzle game for PS VR slated for a release in the winter of 2021. Puzzling Places provides a relaxing, meditative, and flow-inducing gameplay built on the age-old concept of jigsaw puzzles. Only this time around, you will be solving the puzzles in VR. Most of the puzzles in the game are made with super-detailed 3D scans of interesting places from around the world.
In the game, each puzzle piece is a chunk of the real world and they are not flat like traditional puzzle games. Every piece has volume and depth with plenty of real-world details thrown in the mix. As you continue to connect pieces with each other in the game, the bigger picture starts to come to life. There are a large number of puzzles in the game with tons of puzzles coming post-launch as well.
Heavenly Bodies
Developed by 2pt Interactive, Heavenly Bodies is a new physics-based spatial puzzler. The game is about cosmonauts, the body, and the absence of gravity. Using the DualSense controller, players will control each individual limb of the weightless, physically simulated cosmonaut. The controls are simple yet tricky and will allow you to move around and interact with plenty of space-station modules requiring delicate assembly and maintenance. The game supports both solo and local co-op. The game is slated to come out later this year.
Disco Elysium – The Final Cut
Developer ZA/UM announced that its award-winning RPG Disco Elysium is coming to PS4 and PS5 at the end of this month. This will be an upgraded version of the original release and will feature voice acting and some bonus content as well. The game originally came out back in 2019 and won the best PC exclusive of 2019 as well when it came out. However, all this is going to change later this year when the game comes out on PS4 and PS5 on March 30, 2021.
Where the Heart Leads
The developer behind ReCore and Batman: Arkham Origins, Armature Studios has revealed their latest project Where the Heart Leads, and it looks amazing. The new title is a surreal narrative adventure and it will release on PS4 and PS5 on July 31, 2021.
The game follows the story of a husband and father Whit Anderson who descends into a sinkhole to save the family dog but ends up on a journey through time. Whit is suddenly enveloped by visions of his past, present, and future and he can also change them. The game is heavily dependent on player choices as they can change pivotal moments of Whit’s life based on their own decisions. The game features thousands of choices and dozens of endings based on them.

Play at Home 2021 Update
To conclude the event, PlayStation also announced an update to its currently ongoing Play at Home 2021 event which gave us Ratchet & Clank for free earlier. However, that is not all as PlayStation has 10 games in the pipeline for us in the coming months that we will be getting for free and without any extra charge. We have detailed the titles below:
