There has been some talk about the new Nintendo Switch console in the past, but Nintendo has just revealed that a new model of the console is not coming anytime soon.
In the latest financial report by the company, company president Shuntaro Furukawa has stated that the company is not currently planning on making any such announcement for a new Nintendo Switch console anytime soon. The company, however, is focusing on the upcoming big titles for the console which are Monster Hunter Rise and the Mario Red & Blue edition Switch system.
This most certainly does not mean that there is not going to be a new version of the console, just that the company has other priorities and projects right now, and that an announcement is not coming anytime in the near future. Is it safe to say that there will be no announcement all throughout the year? No one can say for sure.
The Nintendo Switch console is doing great right now as the financial report revealed that it has overtaken the Nintendo 3DS console in sales. Thanks to some of the massive hits released last year which included Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Paper Mario: The Origami King, and 29 other titles that have done really well on the console.
Moving on to the Mario Red & Blue Switch console that Nintendo is working on, it will purely be a red and blue color scheme that comes in honor of Mario’s iconic outfit made of the two colors. The console comes with the red and blue Joy-Con controllers with blue straps, a red switch dock, a red Switch system, and a red and blue edition carrying case for the whole console.
