Modding Support Tools Are Now Available for Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 Modding Tools

CD Projekt Red has officially released the modding support tools for Cyberpunk 2077 which will allow anyone proficient enough with modding to create custom mods for Cyberpunk 2077. With the help of these new tools, anyone can now create their own experiences in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. As of now, there are four tools listed on their official website but only three of them can be downloaded yet.

The four modding support tools listed on their website include:

  • Metadata – Per game release, required by some of the tools (29 MB)
  • ArchiveDump – A utility for listing contents of game data archives (22KB)
  • TweakDump – A utility for listing contents of game Tweak DB (game settings) binaries (64KB)
  • TweakDB IDs – A list of IDs of Tweak DB entries. Generated using TweakDump and tweakdb.str metadata (Not downloadable yet)

Apart from releasing these official modding support tools, CD Projekt Red has also detailed that these tools will be updated as well every time a new game update is released so that the tools do not give any sort of compatibility issues with the game. Given the current condition of the game, it is important to note that there will be plenty of patches and updates for the game as the developer works to fix the issues and problems with the game.

We already know that this is going to take some time as some of the new updates arriving for the game are also breaking up the game even more so we might be in for a long ride until the developer manages to fix the game. CD Projekt Red recently released the 1.1 patch for the game however it broke one of the main quests of the game rendering many of the players stuck in the game without any means of progression. A temporary workaround has been detailed by the developer but a hotfix for this bug has yet to arrive.

Cyberpunk 2077 was released in December 2020 and is now available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
