Swedish independent developer, Markus Oljemark has just announced that The Girl of Glass First Chapter is available on Steam for free right now. The developer also announced the final release date for the game which is set to be on the last day of summer, on 22 September 2020.
The free first chapter is a perfect occasion to taste a bit from the magic represented by the gorgeously crafted environments, original story about the girl made of glass, and an orchestral soundtrack to match it all.
The Girl of Glass: A Summer Bird’s Tale was originally announced back in 2016 as part of the Square Enix Collective program. It got 91% positive recommendations from players around the world.
The game is an emotional summer tale that combines a colorful point and click adventure with strategic turn-based combat to tell the story of Kristal, The Girl of Glass. Her name isn’t a coincidence, she’s a fragile girl who’s been granted asylum by the owner of the circus, where she lived and worked for years. Now she’s grown up and looking for the true meaning of her life. To do that, she decides to leave the circus. However, it won’t be as easy as it sounds.
The game is now almost finished and ready for its premiere; however, a playable demo is available right now for anyone that is interested to give it a go. The Girl of Glass: A Summer Bird’s Tale demo can be played on the link here.
