Black Ops: Cold War Leaked Details

Treyarch previously teased the new Call of Duty as Black Ops: Cold War as the new Call of Duty title however much of the details about the game have been leaked online thanks to the newly released Warzone and Modern Warfare patch. Which apparently was supposed to be just a normal game patch, turned out to be a massive leak source for the next Call of Duty title thanks to COD Tracker and dataminer @BKTOOR.

The leaked details about Call of Duty: Black Ops: Cold War include its different editions, release date, multiplayer reveal date, next-gen update plan and much more. Starting with the singleplayer campaign of the new title, the official description confirms that the game is set in early 1980s and is right after the events of the first Black Ops title. Different franchise characters such as Woods, Mason and Hudson are all returning back to the franchise.

Along with them, many new characters will also join the crusade against the spy named Perseus. The campaign will allow players to journey through a KGB HQ, East Berlin, Vietnam and other places of importance of the time. Along with the singleplayer campaign, the game will also have Zombies and a brand new multiplayer mode and Warzone will transition into a Cold War version of the game sometime later.

The full leaked description of the game states:

The iconic Black Ops series is back with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War – the direct sequel to the original and fan-favorite Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Black Ops Cold War will drop fans into the depths of the Cold War’s volatile geopolitical battle of the early 1980s. Nothing is ever as it seems in a gripping single-player Campaign, where players will come face-to-face with historical figures and hard truths, as they battle around the globe through iconic locales like East Berlin, Vietnam, Turkey, Soviet KGB headquarters and more.

As elite operatives, you will follow the trail of a shadowy figure named Perseus who is on a mission to destabilize the global balance of power and change the course of history. Descend into the dark center of this global conspiracy alongside iconic characters Woods, Mason and Hudson and a new cast of operatives attempting to stop a plot decades in the making.

Beyond the campaign, players will bring a Cold War arsenal of weapons and equipment into the next generation of multiplayer and Zombies experiences.

The new leaks have also revealed the three different editions of Black Ops: Cold War and one particular edition ‘Cross-Gen Bundle’ shows that players will not get a free next-gen update for the game and will need to purchase it separately. The three leaked bundles include Standard Edition, Cross-Gen Bundle and the Ultimate Edition.

All three editions are expected to go live tomorrow after the official reveal of the game and it is also expected that once the pre-orders are live, Frank Woods will be unlocked for Modern Warfare and Warzone as a pre-order bonus of Black Ops: Cold War. Pre-orders will also grant you ten tier unlocks of the current Battle Pass in Warzone. Starting with the Standard Edition, it will include the full game along with the pre-order bonus of Confrontation Weapons Pack.

The Ultimate Edition will include next-gen upgrades as well along with the Standard Edition contents and a new DLC pack called Land, Sea, and Air. It will come three bonus operator skins, three-vehicle skins, and three weapon blueprints. A Battle Pass bundle will allow you to get the base game with the Battle Pass and the first 20 tiers of the Battle Pass unlocked for you to use in the game.

Finally, the new leaks also revealed the expected release date of the game as well as the reveal of the multiplayer which might be separate from tomorrow’s full game reveal. According to the leak, Call of Duty: Black Ops: Cold War is slated for release on November 13, Friday as the final date for players to claim their included DLC is November 13, 2021, and this date is always one year from the game’s launch.
