Rainbow Six: Siege The Grand Larceny Event is Available Right Now

The Grand Larceny

Ubisoft has just announced a new limited-time event in Rainbow Six: Siege in the first season of Year 5, and it is called The Grand Larceny. The new event brings an all new game mode in an elderly British version of the old Hereford map: The Stolen Goods.

The event is limited time, which means it is going to be available from May 5 to May 19. In the mode, players will fight the traditional 5v5 style in Siege, but will be inspired by the 1920s British Mob, and the gunshots that ring through the hallways of the Headquarters.

The event will not have all the operators available to play, while most will be accessible. The ones that are not available in this mode are Glaz, Nomad, Buck, Montagne, Blitz, Caveira, Kali, Clash, Blackbeard, Lion, IQ,  Tachanka, Recruit, Twitch, and Mozzie. Each Operator will only have a main shotgun equipped, customized with the event’s weapon skins as found in The Grand Larceny Collection and the Roaring Riches Bundle.

The Stolen Goods game mode is quite different from the standard modes in the game. There is no hostage, no area to secure, nor bombs to defuse. There is no preparation phase or droning phase. However, there are safeboxes spread throughout the map. The defenders will have to protect these safeboxes at all costs, or by taking out the opposing team entirely.

On the other hand, attackers must open a certain amount of safeboxes, or eliminate the defenders. Players will be informed where the Safeboxes are located, alongside adjustments to flooring that will remove select metal beams after destruction, allowing players to be even more creative with their shotguns. Get ready for an amount of destruction never seen in Rainbow Six Siege.

In addition, the Grand Legacy also brings in 31 items featuring exclusive customization for the following operators:

  • Amaru
  • Fuze
  • Gridlock
  • Hibana
  • Maverick
  • Echo
  • Maestro
  • Kaid
  • Wamai
  • Warden

To get The Grand Larceny pack, players will require to complete special Event Challenges, or buy them for 300 R6 Credits or 12,500 Renown.
