Baseline Games has just released a new trailer for its survival exploration game, Nira. The trailer also confirms that the game is set to release on 24 April, 2020 and will be available for purchase on Steam.
The new trailer shows a little bit of the gameplay and shows us what to expect from the game. You start the game with nothing, but you as a player can explore an endless procedurally generated world where you have to look for resources. These can then be used to craft items and build a base for you to live.
The fast-paced game is all about your survival and the resources you can manage to collect. When night falls in the game, various creatures arise. Your basic objective in the game is to gather resources, build a base, craft tools, and weapons, tame or hunt wild animals, and fight off goblins to find a way to Nira.
Here are some of the key features of the game:
- Explore endless procedurally generated worlds full of resources
- Build a base and craft weapons to defend yourself at night
- Fight off goblins and riddle their ogre leaders with bullets
- Survive nature: catch and cook food, and tame or hunt wild animals
Nira will release in Early Access on Steam, the developers will be taking player feedback during this phase, which will then determine the future of the game together with the community. The developers might also be looking for feedback to port the game on other platforms. For now, the game will only be available for players on PC.
