There are various different Heroes that you can unlock in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, where these special characters add into the seventh slot, different from the six slots of your main characters. Heroes in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 cannot be controlled by the player and come as participants alongside your main characters in battle. The biggest use of these heroes is that each of them brings a unique job class to your party, where you can get their class for your main characters.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Heroes Unlock Guide
The game unlocks some of the Heroes by just completing the main story of the game, but ties others to completing certain side quests, specifically after the start of chapter 3 in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
Heroes begin at rank 10 but can be upgraded later on as you progress in the story and complete the Ascension side quest for each character. This upgrade will increase the Rank from 10 to 20.
