Wo Long Fallen Dynasty Leveling Up Guide
As mentioned above, the game does not have a way of earning experience points when you play the normal game and when you defeat enemies and bosses. Instead, you are required to gain and then use something called Genuine Qui. This lets you raise one of your five virtues that are:
- Fire
- Earth
- Metal
- Water
- Wood
Each time you use Genuine Qui to raise of these Virtues, you will have to spend more to raise another level for each virtue. This means that you need to get more Genuine Qui if you want to level up more.
How to Get Genuine Qui
Genuine Qui is like skill points that you obtain when you beat enemies. The number of this item grows even further the more you continue killing large and small enemies. It is not until that you decide to use the Genuine Qui that you can raise your level by using it on your Virtues.
In addition, Genuine Qui is lost by half when you die in the game. After respawning from death, you will only retain half the amount of Genuine Qui that you had before you were killed.
Fortunately, this feature is only restricted to smaller enemies or other ways of dying, but not when you die against bosses. Getting killed by a boss will not affect your Genuine Qui, but it will lower your Morale.
How to Level Up
Leveling up using Genuine Qui only works when you are at a Battle Flag location, which works as a checkpoint in the game. At the Battle Flag, you can select the option to Level Up and raise your Virtue
From the Level Up menu, you can select which Virtue you want to level up. And as mentioned before, there are five different Virtues that your character has, offering different benefits when you upgrade them more.
