Gold Keys are not hard to find and you might run into them out in the open as ground loot or in hidden areas. Once you do get the Gold Key, your next task is to open find and unlock the chests that Gold Key unlocks.
Gold Key chests are located in secret areas that are on the other side of the main area. These secret locations usually have a hidden entrance that needs to be located, which then transports you to a separate hidden area with the chest. Since each playthrough has a different place for the secret areas to spawn, you will have to look around every corner to find one.
Once you do find an entrance, it will take you to the chest that opens only with the Gold Key. Unlock the chest and it will contain the Udjat Eye item for you to collect.
