Below we have detailed how to escape from Ghosts.

How to Escape from Ghosts

Ghosts make their presence known by appearing in front of you, chasing you away towards the exit. Ghosts mostly show up when you take the Ghost Jar to grab the jewel from inside. Immediately upon taking the jewel, the ghosts will start following you, chasing you around to hit you.

Ghosts also appear if you stay too long in one area, this is also a mechanic in the game that forces you to be on your feet and to move along to the next area. To escape from a Ghosts, you should first know where you need to head to, or where the nearest exit is located. Once a ghost spawns, you should focus on running straight towards the next area which is the only way to escape from ghosts.

Can You Kill a Ghost in Spelunky 2?

Technically you can, but it is quite close to impossible especially considering that these enemies are made to chase you away from a location, not face you in a short battle. Ghosts have a lot of health, maybe a lot more than anyone can be ready for. In addition, they can kill you with one hit.

The game obviously wants you to run away from them instead of fighting them or looking for ways to take them out. Although possible, it will be a futile attempt for a small goal.
