Indie developer Andy Wallace has announced that the unique war game Skirmish Society is launching next week as a Discord bot. Skirmish Society will release on January 24, 2023, and the game will be released as a Discord bot that players can add to their Discord servers and play the game. Skirmish Society is a war and territory control game and is currently available in early access. The game is embedded in your Discord network and each turn period in the game lasts for one full day. All of your inputs are given by DMing @skirmish-commissioner in the #skirmish-society channel. The winner is the player who gains enough Victory Points by controlling the largest territory or by building and using farms. The first player to reach 10 Victory Points wins in a normal game.
Skirmish Society allows both online and in Discord options for you and basically with this game installed in your server, your DMs will become marching orders. After inviting Skirmish Society’s gamemaster into a server, it will convert the server into a dynamic battlefield for you and your friends to conquer.
The developer has shared extensive guides on how you can play Skirmish Society and also how you can add the game to your Discord server once it goes live on your server. The rules list is pretty extensive however, it will allow you to easily understand everything that you need to know about the game and how you can install the server as well. There are some Code of Conduct instructions as well that you will need to be aware of.
