Instead of using the ladder to descend, jump down the side of the tower onto the pipes below. This route is worth taking because there’s some additional loot along the way.

Look for the particular pipe where you can land and jump across to collect Remnant Dust. Continue forward until you encounter an enemy. Defeat him, and he will drop the Sha-Chi Furnace Inspection Crank.

Once you have collected it, use the nearby ladder to return to the tower. Once you are back inside the tower, look for an interactive console attached to one side of the large furnace. Approach the console and insert the Inspection Crank. This will open a concealed panel containing the Primal Stone.

Make sure you collect the item and then remove the crank from the console. Don’t leave the crank behind, as you will need to use the same one again at another location.

After collecting the Primal Stone, return to the top of the tower and speak to the NPC who gave you the quest. Handing over the item will advance his questline, which you can continue later when you encounter him again.

The second location becomes accessible later in the game, after you obtain the Creek Valley Plains Entrance Key.

Use the key to access the lower section of the tower. Once you enter through the door, you can make your way underneath the structure.

As you explore the tower’s base, keep towards the right-hand side. You will come across a lift, but you don’t need to use it. Instead, look for a small passage tucked away behind it.

Take this hidden route and continue following the path upwards. Keep moving around the tower until you reach another resting point.

Near this area, you will find a second console where you can use the Inspection Crank to unlock another hidden container and claim its reward.

Remember that this is the same crank you collected earlier, so make sure you removed it from the first console before leaving.
