In Pokémon Let’s Go, the developers have added a brand new challenge which are the Master Hunters and for each specie of the Pokémon, there is one Master Hunter.

You can only find them once you have completed the Pokémon League adventure and are the Pokémon League Champion of the Kanto region.

Master Trainer Locations – Where to Find Them

Our Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! / Eevee! Master Trainer Locations Guide details the locations of all the Master Trainers that are found in Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Eevee!

There are 153 Master Trainers in the game and they only spawn after completing the main story of the game and becoming the Pokémon League Champion of the Kanto region. Each Master Trainer has one corresponding Pokémon and you must bring that specific Pokémon to battle them.

Beating their Pokémon will make you the Master Trainer of that Pokémon however you cannot use any item or any other Pokémon other than the one specified for fighting them. They are only displayed in the game during the Link Battles. Other than that they will not displayed in the game.

We have detailed the trainers according to the their official Pokedex listing so you can easily find the Master Hunter for the Pokémon that you are looking for easily.

Bulbasaur Master Trainer

Found on Route 4 between Mt. Moon and Cerulean City.

Ivysaur Master Trainer

Found on Route 14, east of Fuchsia City. Look for the trainer at the far east corner next to the water.

Venusaur Master Trainer

Found outside the exit from Victory Road which leads to Indigo Plateau.

Charmander Master Trainer

Found on the top floor of the Celadon Condominiums building in Celadon City. You can enter from the back and then take the stairs to reach the top and enter the Ione room to meet the trainer.

Charmeleon Master Trainer

Found on Route 10 just outside the exit of Rock Tunnel, north of Lavender Town.

Charizard Master Trainer

Found on Route 23 outside of Indigo Plateau.

Squirtle Master Trainer

Found on Route 12, south of Lavender Town. Look at the dock on the left side just before entering the passageway building to find the trainer.

Wartortle Master Trainer

Found on Route 20. Head east of the Cinnabar Island and look along the stone barrier.

Blastoise Master Trainer

Found in the water southeast of the Seasfoam Islands entrance.

Caterpie Master Trainer

Found on Route 18 west of Fuchsia City.

Metapod Master Trainer

Found on passageway between Route 11 and 12 east of Vermilion City.

Butterfree Master Trainer

Found while heading south from the Pewter City. Enter the building which connects the Route 2 to Viridian Forest to find the trainer.

Weedle Master Trainer

Found inside the Viridian Forest. Enter the forest from Route 2 and keep heading straight and then turn left to find the trainer.

Kakuna Master Trainer

Found on the far east side of Route 13 in some grass behind a tree. You will need to cut the grass with Chop Down.

Beedrill Master Trainer

Found on Route 8 between Lavender Town and Saffron City behind a tree in some grass. You will need to chop down the grass.

Pidgey Master Trainer

Found on Route 2, north of the Viridian City.

Pidgeotto Master Trainer

Found on Route 16, west of Celadon City. Head to the far west side of the town near the fence to find the trainer.

Pidgeot Master Trainer

Found upstairs on a passageway located south of Lavender Town just before the Route 12 starts.

Rattata Master Trainer

Found on Route 12 behind the Pokémon Center and outside the entrance to the Rock Tunnel.

Raticate Master Trainer

Found inside a house in Cerulean City. Go to the northeast corner of the city and enter the house from a hole in the wall to find the trainer.

Spearow Master Trainer

Found in Pewter City, southeast from the Pokémon Center.

Fearow Master Trainer

Found on Route 18, west of the Fuchsia City. Head to the bottom left in a grass patch.

Ekans Master Trainer

Found on Route 4 between Mt. Moon and Cerulean City.

Arbok Master Trainer

Found in Celadon City inside Team Rocket’s hideout. Head beneath the Rocket Game Corner and enter the hideout. Head southeast on the first floor and then head upstairs and you will find the trainer in the left side of the room.

Pikachu Master Trainer

Found inside Viridian Forest. Turn right when you exit the building while heading towards Pewter City.

Raichu Master Trainer

Found in Saffron City inside Pokémon Tower. Head to the second last floor of the tower and you will find the trainer near a grave.

Sandshrew Master Trainer

Found on Route 11, east of Vermilion City. To find the trainer, go right from the entrance of Diglett’s Cave

Sandslash Master Trainer

Found in the passageway connecting Celadon City and Route 7 to Saffron City.

Nidoran ♀ Master Trainer

Found on Route 3, east of Pewter City.

Nidorina Master Trainer

Found in the underground path connecting Celadon City and Lavender Town.

Nidoqueen Master Trainer

Found on Route 23 while heading towards Victory Road.

Nidoran ♂ Master Trainer

Found on Route 4, south of Pokémon Center and Mt. Moon’s entrance.

Nidorino Master Trainer

Found in the underground path connecting Celadon City and Lavender Town.

Nidoking Master Trainer

Found on Route 23 while heading towards Victory Road.

Clefairy Master Trainer

Found in Saffron City in front of a building northwest of Silph Co.

Clefable Master Trainer

Found inside Mt. Moon on a floor below the entrance while coming from Pewter City. You will need to climb down a ladder to find the trainer.

Vulpix Master Trainer

Found on Route 6, north of Vermillion City. To find the trainer, go right of the passage after coming from Saffron City.

Nintetails Master Trainer

Found on Route 9, east of Cerulean City.

Jigglypuff Master Trainer

Found in the Pokémon Center of Pewter City. Look for the trainer on the left side once inside.

Wigglytuff Master Trainer

Found inside the Silph Co. building in Saffron City. Use the stairs and reach the top floor and the trainer is found in front of the room where you fight Giovanni earlier.

Zubat Master Trainer

Found inside the Rock Tunnel. Head down one floor from where the exit to Route 10 and Lavender Town is located to find the trainer.

Golbat Master Trainer

Found inside Victory Road, one floor above the exit.

Oddish Master Trainer

Found on East of Viridian City. Look for the trainer outside the Poke Mart and some flowers.

Gloom Master Trainer

Found in Pewter City on the west of Pokémon Center.

Vileplume Master Trainer

Found in Route 14. Before entering the Route 13, check the top left of the fence maze to find the trainer.

Paras Master Trainer

Found inside Mt. Moon. Head northeast after you enter from the Pewter City to find the trainer.

Parasect Master Trainer

Found on Route 2, north of Viridian City. You will need to chop down a tree and head east to find the trainer.

Venonat Master Trainer

Found on Route 24. Head left from the Nugget Bridge, north of Cerulean City to find the trainer.

Venomoth Master Trainer

Found on Route 15, east of Fuchsia Coty. Coming from Route 14, chop down a tree on the west side to get to the trainer.

Diglett Master Trainer

Found inside the entrance of Diglett’s Cave. You can find the trainer coming from Route 2 easily. Chop down a tree to get to it.

Dugtrio Master Trainer

Found inside the Diglett’s Cave. Enter from Route 11, east side of Vermillion City and you will find the trainer easily.

Meowth Master Trainer

Found in Poke Mart of Viridian City.

Persian Master Trainer

Found in Celadon City in Team Rocket’s hideout underneath Rocket Game Corner. This room can be accessed from the southeast corner of the floor where the Weezing trainer is also present. This is the room where Pikachu or Eevee initially found the Persian trainer.

Psyduck Master Trainer

Found in the water north of Cinnabar Island. You can swim to the left side where the trainer is present with some rocks.

Golduck Master Trainer

Found in the water outside Cerulean Cave.

Mankey Master Trainer

Found on Route 5, south of Cerulean City.

Primeape Master Trainer

Found in the passage between Route 11 and Route 12 located on the east of Vermillion City. The trainer is present upstairs in the passage.

Growlithe Master Trainer

Found on Route 7 outside the path connecting Route 7 and Saffron City.

Arcanine Master Trainer

Found in a hotel located in southeast of Celadon City.

Poliwag Master Trainer

Found on Route 12’s west side before entering Route 13 if you are heading south.

Poliwhirl Master Trainer

Found in a house in Cerulean City. The house is located directly on the left of the Pokémon Center.

Poliwrath Master Trainer

Found behind a house in Cerulean City. Head to the top left house and enter from the backside to get to the trainer.

Abra Master Trainer

Found on the west near the entrance of Viridian City.

Kadabra Master Trainer

Found inside Mr. Psychic’s house in Saffron City. You can find his house in the southeast corner of the town.

Alakazam Master Trainer

Found on Route 10 outside the exit of Rock Tunnel, north of Lavender Town.

Machop Master Trainer

Found inside Silph Co. building in Saffron City. You can use the stairs to reach fourth floor and then find the trainer behind some boxes in the far west side of the room.

Machoke Master Trainer

Found in Fuchsia City inside a house. Head to the southeast corner of the town and you will find a fisherman standing in front of a house. The trainer is inside this house.

Machamp Master Trainer

Found in Vermillion City. Head to the top right of the city and you will find the trainer in a small clearing next to some boxes.

Bellsprout Master Trainer

Found in Viridian City inside a classroom building which is located right behind the Pokémon Center.

Weepinbell Master Trainer

Found in the top floor of the Pokémon Tower in Saffron City. This is near the place where you meet with Mr. Fuji earlier in the game.

Victreebel Master Trainer

Found on the right side of Celadon City Gym next to a tree and some green tiles.

Tentacool Master Trainer

Found on the Seafoam Islands. Head right from the entrance of the cave while coming from the Fuchsia City.

Tentacruel Master Trainer

Found on the small island on Route 20 located east of Cinnabar Island.

Geodude Master Trainer

Found in the Rock Tunnel. If you are entering from Route 10 and Lavender Town, you will need to head up some levels to find the trainer.

Graveler Master Trainer

Found inside Victory Road.

Golem Master Trainer

Found in the Pewter Museum of Science in Pewter City. Head upstairs in the west section of the building to find the trainer.

Ponyta Master Trainer

Found in front of the Poke mart of Saffron City.

Rapidash Master Trainer

Found in Saffron City. Head to the northwest section of the town and look for the trainer behind a tree.

Slowpoke Master Trainer

Found on an island on the north side of Cinnabar Island.

Slowbro Master Trainer

Found on an island located in the far north of the Cinnabar Island near Pallet Town. You will also find a Coach Trainer here.

Magnemite Master Trainer

Found in the underground path connecting Route 5 to Route 6 located south of Cerulean City.

Magneton Master Trainer

Found in the underground path connecting Route 5 to Route 6 located south of Cerulean City.

Farfetch’d Master Trainer

Found outside Vermillion City Pokémon Center.

Doduo Master Trainer

Found inside the Bike Maniac’s house in Cerulean City.

Dodrio Master Trainer

Found on Route 15 east of Fuchsia City between two trainers with mohawks.

Seel Master Trainer

Found inside Seafoam Islands cave. Enter the cave and look for the trainer on the far east side of the entrance.

Dewgong Master Trainer

Found in Seafoam Islands cave. Head three floors above where you encounter Articuno and find the trainer near a ladder.

Grimer Master Trainer

Found in Celadon City on the left side of Rocket Game Corner across a small water pool.

Muk Master Trainer

Found inside the Pokémon Mansion on Cinnabar Island. Head to the second floor of the mansion behind a gate. You will need to use a statue switch nearby to open the gate and get to the trainer.

Shellder Master Trainer

Found in the water south of Fuchsia City.

Cloyster Master Trainer

Found in the water outside the exit of Seafoam Islands cave. If you are coming from Route 20, east of Cinnabar Island, you will find the trainer quickly.

Gastly Master Trainer

Found in Lavender Town behind a building between the Pokémon Tower and Pokémon Center.

Haunter Master Trainer

Found in Lavender Town hiding between two purple rooftop houses in front of yet another purple rooftop house.

Gengar Master Trainer

Found behind the Poke Mart in Lavender Town.

Onix Master Trainer

Found in the underground path between Celadon City and Lavender Town.

Drowzee Master Trainer

Found in the back of Viridian City Pokémon Center.

Hypno Master Trainer

Found in the Pokémon Tower of Saffron City. The trainer is found on the floor with the healing space.

Krabby Master Trainer

Found inside the Pokémon Fan Club house in Vermillion City located on the west side of the town.

Kingler Master Trainer

Found inside the Silph Co. building in Saffron City. The trainer is right next to the fountain.

Voltorb Master Trainer

Found in the Power Plant. Make your way to the center of the building to find the trainer.

Found on Route 17 on the right side.

Found on the right side of the Nugget Bridge located in north of Cerulean City. You can access it from Route 25.

Found in Team Rocket’s Hideout under the Rocket Game Corner in Celadon City. On the floor with the moving tiles, go to the southwest corner to find the trainer.

Chansey Master Trainer

Found inside the Fuchsia City Pokémon Center.

Tangela Master Trainer

Found on Route 15, east of Fuchsia City. You will need to chop down a tree while coming from the Route 14 and keep going west to reach the trainer.

Kangaskhan Master Trainer

Found outside the Go Park and Safari Zone in Fuchsia City. Head to the top left corner of the grassy area of the Safari Zone and find the trainer near the water.

Horsea Master Trainer

Found in the water, south of Fuchsia City among some rocks.

Seadra Master Trainer

Found on Route 12 in the water, south of Lavender Town.

Goldeen Master Trainer

Found on Route 12 in the water, south of Lavender Town. Head right from the house where you get the Dazzling Gleam TM to find the trainer.

Found on the south side of Route 13, among some rocks in the water.

Staryu Master Trainer

Found in the beach in the south of Fuchsia City.

Starmie Master Trainer

Found on the Route 25, outside Bill’s House.

Mr. Mime Master Trainer

Found on the second floor of Celadon Condominiums building in Celadon City.

Scyther Master Trainer

Found on the passage between Fuchsia City and Route 15. Head upstairs and towards the west side of the passage to find the trainer.

Jynx Master Trainer

Found in grass across the Cerulean Cave on the other side of the fence at the Cerulean City entrance.

Electabuzz Master Trainer

Found outside the Power Plant building. To get to the trainer, you will need to head to Route 10, east of Cerulean City and swim in the water along the Pokémon Center until you reach the Power Plant.

Magmar Master Trainer

Found on the first floor of the Pokemon Mansion on the Cinnabar Island.

Pinsir Master Trainer

Found in the passage between Fuchsia City and Route 18.

Tauros Master Trainer

Found outside the Go Park and Safari Zone in the Fuchsia City.

Magikarp Master Trainer

Found in the Pokémon Center next to Mt. Moon entrance.

Gyarados Master Trainer

Found in a hotel room located in the Celadon City. The hotel is located in the southeast corner of the city while the trainer is found in a room located on the right side of the receptionist.

Found in the Pokémon Tower in Saffron City. The trainer is standing next to a grave three floors below the top floor.

Ditto Master Trainer

Found on the third floor of the Pokémon Mansion located on the Cinnabar Island.

Eevee Master Trainer

Found on Route 17 near all evolved forms of Eevee. The Master Trainer is in the middle.

Found on the Seaform Islands cave across where you first encounter the Articuno.

Found in the grassy area near some water which leads to Route 23 and Victory Road.
