The fight begins when The Origami King Olly transforms itself into Vellumental. In the first stage, he takes the shape of a meaner and badder looking Earth Vellumental. Your fight should be pretty easy here, but your focus should be to use the Vellumental button on the rings. This will allow you to summon Ice Vellumental to freeze the boss into a block of ice.
From there, you just have to go to a Magic Button and use the 1000 Fold Arms to flip the boss over and enter Rush Time. This will immediately bring out the second stage when the boss will now turn to Fire Vellumental. If you remember the Fire Vellumental boss, it throws out many fiery feathers on the rings, that become dangerous obstacles for Mario.
Your target here is to again use the Vellumental buttons to summon the Water Vellumental and extinguish all the fiery feathers on the rings. Following this, you have to use the 1000 Fold Arms again to defeat the boss.
The final phase of the battle completely changes the stage, where Bowser and Origami King turns into giant origami and battle out each other. Your task here is to use maneuver behind Bowser and aid him by using the Magic Buttons and the 1000 Fold Arms to slam the ground.
The boss will eventually throw out spinning blade projectiles that you have to jump over, but keep your focus on getting behind Bowser and continuing the same attack. Over time, the boss will also bring out a gray angry face block that will slam on the ground. This is pretty easy to dodge. Eventually, the Origami King Olly will be defeated as he gets tired and Bowser pushes him off the edge.
