This Paper Mario: The Origami King Fire Vellumental Boss Guide will show you how to defeat the Fire Vellumental boss in the game. This is the third different type of Vellumental boss that you will face after Earth and Water Vellumental.
Fire Vellumental produces many obstacles for you on the rings between you and the boss. Its fiery feathers are dangerous and will deal damage to you if you don’t clear them out.

The fight begins when Fire Vellumental shoots out its fiery arrows and sticks them on the rings. This creates obstacles on what would otherwise be an easy path towards the boss. While you can manage the first wave of feathers quite easily, you will have to think of a way to remove the fiery feathers.
But before that, you will have enough time to get towards the boss and then use the Iron Boots to hit the giant fiery bird. Your attack will knock some feathers each time the boss is hit with your attack. Following your move, the boss will hit you with its wing, and knock you out back to where you started.
Following the attack, Fire Vellumental will throw out more feathers on the rings. So many that it will be impossible to dodge them when going on the rings. You will also notice blue Magic Buttons on the ground that have to be activated to remove the fiery feathers.
Stepping on the blue buttons will allow you to summon Water Vellumental, and drown all the fiery feathers on the ring, effectively extinguishing them. This will then give you a clear path to step on the Magic Button, use the 1000 Fold Arms to go into Rush Time, and begin your barrage of attacks until the boss is defeated.
