What are Derelict Freighters in No Man’s Sky
Derelict Freighters are a new addition to No Man’s Sky and they allow players the ability to salvage them for resources. These are scattered around the star systems and all you need to do is find them, kill all the opposition on-board and take over them to obtain all the resources and salvage onboard them.
How to Find Derelict Freighters in No Man’s Sky
Since these are scattered around the star systems, you can find them randomly while you are exploring the star systems. Each star system has one unique Derelict Freighter for you to find and salvage. You will need to keep a close eye on your Pulse Drive as it will alert you if a Derelict Freighter is near your location. This is the cheapest method of finding them.
If you are unable to find them in the world yourself, simply head to the space station of the star system where you will be able to find the scrap dealer. The scrap dealer will tell you the coordinates of the star system’s Derelict Freighter at a price. This price is for the Emergency Broadcast Receiver which has a variable price every time you go to buy one. If you want a free one, simply head to the Iteration Helios.
