In this Metro Exodus Side Missions Guide, we will detail all the side missions there are in the game and how you can complete them. There are not many side missions, but they reward you with items upon completion.
Since guides are typically passive in Metro Exodus, this means you have to go and speak to characters that will give you the side quest. In our guide, we will tell you exactly which person to look for when you want to complete the side quests. These characters are allies that you find in Aurora.
Metro Exodus Side Missions Guide
Below we have listed all the side missions for you.
Side Mission # 1 – Guitar
This side mission begins as you get a radio call when you are sent to infiltrate the town at the bridge. Stepan will radio call and order you to find and retrieve a guitar that is on top of the tower of the bandit camp.
Once you are at the tower, go upstairs and kill any enemies on your way. Now you need to climb up higher, which can be done by using the fire escape ladder. Once you climb up, the guitar will be on the railing outside next to the metal scaffolding. Take it back to Aurora, and return it to Stepan.
Side Mission # 2 – Teddy Bear
When you are one your way to Duke, Stepan will ask you to find Natsya’s teddy bear that was stolen by a mutant. A new objective will be marked on your map, where you have to go to find the toy.
Once at the location, get to the top of the water tower using the circular stairs. Here you will find a mutant’s nest and a monster. Kill the mutant and approach the next to pick up the teddy bear. It will be inside a suitcase next to the bike. Return back to Aurora, and give the teddy bear to Natsya.
Side Mission # 3 – Plane Loot
This mission is given to you by Duke. When you are trying to get away from the crazy cultists in the Winter area, and when you are trying to escape the giant fish in the water, it will be Duke who will save you from it.
After a while when Duke is talking about his miseries, he will mark a location on your map where you can find a plane that contains upgrade items. Go to this downed plane and enter the cockpit where you will find the scoped AK in the doorway. You will also find a compass that can be attacked to your wrist when you equip it from the workbench.
Side Mission # 4 – Battery Charge Controller
After you have talked to Duke, a “?” will appear on your map. go to this location where you will find a building with a generator, a house with the doors closed and a small house with a workbench.
Find the gas can next to the building with the generator and fill the generator to start it up. This will power up the generator and open the doors to the large building.
Side Mission # 5 – Night Vision Device
For this side mission, you need to head to Duke’s Observation point and kill the thugs to free the prisoners in the warehouse. One of the prisoner will give you a key of a railcar where you can get the Night Vision Device.
Go to the terminal of this railcar, and go along the right until you come across a locked door. Unlock the door with the key the prisoner provided. Enter the building and take the upgrade from the table on your right.
